The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel

Woooowww the beat museum that I visited!! First this place is huge soo you will need the entire day, the collection of pieces of art is incredible!! They have everything, take the audio guide is necessary here! Also the place is always full soo you will need to wait for everything but is work it!!! I just love this museum!!

Very nice cozy hotel , located on the side streets close to the main walking street Nevskiy . Very well located in proximity to the train station . Rooms are clean and well attended , good service and kind staff . Its one of the good rate/quality ratio hotels in st pete . I recommend this one )

True, the hotel is a little out of the inner tourist circle, but it's really not that far. We're fond of walking, and enjoyed walking to and from just about everywhere. Even in December! The rooms are very pleasant and clean, and the staff is attentive. They're a little on the young side, so not always as experienced as in other 5* hotels - perhaps not perfect yet at predicting your needs, but fully ready to listen and pitch in. For our latest stay, the hotel was decked out for Christmas, and they did a lovely job. Beautiful.

We booked a non-refundable room before Covid started for our wedding anniversary. Then Covid happened and we were no longer able to travel. The Marriott in Moscow gave us full refund, Aeroflot gave us full refund, this hotel however refused to do so. They offered us instead to rebook at a later date, so we did. But the pandemic got worse and worse so we had to keep pushing the date. Now the Reservation Manager (a pretty rude man who needs to learn a thing or two about customer service in 5 star hotels) gave us an ultimatum, if we don't show up before the end of the year, we lose the room and the full amount. We tried everything we could to convince him to push it to May 2022 for our next anniversary but he just refuses to make it happen. Travelling right now with the pandemic still raging, going through the visa process for a trip which could once again get cancelled is simply too risky. But this hotel cares about is money. Very frustrating and disappointing experience and definitely not worthy of a 5 star hotel. There are much better options in St Petersburg so considering the above our advice to all travellers would be to stay away from this place.
