Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Downtown Central Ave

Not even a welcoming bottle of water. No tea or coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was meager with very few choices. Water for tea in breakfast area was more like lukewarm than hot water. The pillows and mattress in the room were so soft it cannot support your body, you just sank into the bed. It was impossible to program the TV. Weak wifi for guests who are not members. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

The workers are attentive, rooms are clean, great water pressure. Breakfast is included and free water/tea/coffee throughout the day. Overall we had a great stay here.

Keke was a valet and went above and beyond as we arrived during a busy time and wanted to leave our vehicle and head to the Rays game. The front desk was helpful and pleasant as well but I didn’t catch her name.

Zack A was my valet. Friendly and cordial, he was helpful at every turn. Keep up the good work Zack!

July 20-21..... This was first time ever staying at a Tru hotel. Other than getting locked in the bathroom @ for about 15 -20 mins in our room (the door was jammed and would not open) it was great!!! The receptiontists Candice( night time and Amir( morning) I believed was their names were great in trying to resolve this issue. Also the valet driver both that night and the next morning we're exceptional...especially KEKE!! She was amazing!!! Breakfast was really tasty

The Hotel valet team was amazing during our stay at Tru by Hilton. A big shout out to Zack A. (Valet worker) who was truly a pleasure to deal with. We have stayed at many Hilton hotels and this one by far was our favorite. Very clean, awesome staff, great breakfast and it was in a great location. We will definitely come back and give it the highest rating possible!

Putting a warning out there because I didn’t expect the amount of the hold to be literally greater than 50% of the room rate. They put a $75 hold PER NIGHT on your card. I’m used to $50-$100 hold for the whole stay so to say this is excessive is an understatement. The hotel and stay itself were fine but if you’re on a tight budget you need to be aware of this hold. They don’t mention the excessive amount of this hold anywhere online.
