The hotel is located on the banks of our favourite Griboyedov canal in a fairly quiet area. Within a walking distance of New Holland. The center is as far away as you would not want to walk on a rainy day. The rooms are spacious and clean. Cleaning, change of towels were every day. Responsive staff. Breakfast was included in the price. There were porridges, meat, fish and fruit. Everyone could choose their breakfast according to their mood. We were quite satisfied with our stay at the hotel / (Rus) Отель расположен на берегу полюбившегося нам канала Грибоедова в достаточно тихом районе. В пешей доступности - Новая Голландия. До центра далеко настолько, насколько в ненастную походу не хотелось бы идти пешком. Номера просторные, чистые. Уборка, смена полотенец каждый день. Отзывчивый персонал. Завтрак у нас был включен в стоимость проживания. Были и каши, и мясо, и рыба, и фрукты. Каждый мог выбрать себе завтрак по настроению. В общем, остались довольны пребыванием в отеле.

ROOMS: very spacious and bright. Big and comfortable bathroom with a shower. Everything is very clean and cozy: bathrobes, slippers and small everyday staff like vanity kit are provided for guests. Soundproof is good, but sometimes you can hear some noise (not so loudly). We found some welcoming fruits on the table, which was very nice. There are also rooms with the view on Isaakiy cathedral. LOCATION: excellent location right in the city center, 2min walk to Isaak cathedral. FOOD: good and nutritious breakfast is included: eggs, vegetables, fruits. Cereals, fruits and different drinks are available for breakfast as well. FACILITIES: good and fast wi-fi, terrace with a view, restaurant, gym and spa, business center. There is also ATM machine inside the hotel and you can use one of the hotel’s umbrellas when it rains. STAFF: very polite and helpful.

Located in an important street but not so close to Nevsky Av, but with many buses and trams passing and stopping in the front of the hotel. Is close to the Mariinsky theater, 5 mins walking. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Breakfast is good but very simple and with no many choices. But is an option if you don’t have time. But in the other corner you can find Entree, a good option to eat. But the best of the hotel is their staff. From the reservation department to the front desk staff all of them are wonderfully. I was happy to return to Alexander House after a fabulous stay last year. The staff are most welcoming and helpful and you are made to feel at home immediately. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the breakfast is worth a trip to St Petersburg alone. I was in the city for the Mariinsky theatre which a short and easy 10 mins walk. I had feared poor weather in February and was prepared to spend much of the trip in doors, thankfully I was able to enjoy the sights but the alternative of spending time in the lounge with a good book would have been a pleasure. I am very much hoping to return again in the near future.

First of all, there are two institutions with a similar name in the building. On the second-third floors, Grand Lyon Hotel, on the fourth-fifth, Lyon guest rooms (no elevator, of course). For the first institution it is expected to enter through the entrance with the cafe, for the second - through the neighboring not very clean entrance with the home key. We lived in the second. The rooms are tiny. The beds are standing across. And to pass between the bed and the wall is already a problem. There is a corner room - it is bigger. But it is not the most unpleasant. The rooms are not catastrophically cleaned. Initially it was cleaned bad. Under the bed of dust, on the toilet dust and hair, dust flew from the closet. The bathroom is very unclean, in the closet dirt. Breakfast is extremely unpleasant. Besides, the breakfast room is full of furniture. Under the windows there is a tram, opposite the police station. But when the windows are closed, there is almost nothing to hear. There is an air conditioner. Neighbors are not heard at all. Administrators are two aunts who cook breakfast and should clean. Slightly all this resembles the conditions in which the characters of the film lived in the sports lotto-?? in the south From substantial plus-position. You can walk to almost all objects. The garden is a bus and tram 3- practically a tour route. And in general, it would be nice to note that guests cannot be accepted under such conditions if they pay money. Booked a room in this hotel after a couple of bad nights elsewhere. I expected any developments, but this hotel was pleasantly surprised from the beginning. Bed comfortable, clean fresh clothes, there are all facilities and the price is very pleasant. By the way, I lived for the same money elsewhere, and there was not half as comfortable as here. Plus - breakfasts are on, and very delicious )) the only moment - not all channels on TV worked, so to see something standing is unlikely to work. But if you, like me, come to watch not TV, but St. Petersburg, it won't hurt you! I also want to express my great gratitude to the girl with the resepshne, who allowed me to evict absolutely freely later on the deadline. It helped me to come to myself and get together normally.
