OKay so it was the only place the will rent out to locals during covid so we had no choice but to stay here while waiting for a new place to live the bed are hard as rocks it was clean at least and pet stay free with is a godsend on a tight budget but still, the lack of coffee pot and fridge in room makes it kind of hard on us eating out every day is not good on the budget. Also little note this is not in a great part of town lock your door if you stay here I mean it lock it tightly with chain and all.

It was a good stay. The room is large, the bed is comfortable and the toilet is clean. The temperature is right. Breakfast is better than other BWs, and it is plugged in Denys, except that people are too slow to serve. Parking is convenient, the door is Costco, we bought a bunch of things to come back to eat, just use the microwave in the room to heat it. The coffee is good, it's Best Seattle's, four packs, enough to drink. It is that Salem really has nothing to look at. We are visiting the Clackmas River and going to the seaside of Lincoln City as the middle station. The pool is open until eleven o'clock. The service staff is very good 👍!

Good Points: I was really impressed with the quality of the room for the price on this location. I ended up having to book this room for a large group last minute due to my VRBO cancelling on me. Not only was the price much better, but this hotel has a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Both were SUPER clean! I am a bit of a clean freak so that was great. The hot tub is large and roomy so even with other people in it I didn't feel crowded. The hotel itself is nice and more modern and everything was clean. The room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and the beds very comfortable with good pillows and the air conditioner worked great. I was also able to get an early check in, which was great. The breakfast was good with the waffles that my kids loved and hot eggs and sausage which I enjoyed because I have to eat gluten free. This hotel is right next to an on/off ramp in Salem so very easy to access which I loved! But it was the front desk staff that really shine! The lady who booked me (I called the hotel direct and did not use an online booking site) was so sweet and friendly and I met her again when we checked in. She was really great and remembered me and asked about my kids who had just graduated. We were there for a trip as a present for graduating high school. I was super impressed with her! The other staff who were front desk were also really friendly and helpful. I am planning on staying here again in the future! The Not so Good: For some reason my room window didn't have full curtains so at night with the lights on anyone could see in, which for me was weird and uncomfortable. I think I watched too many Scream movies as a teenager! Second the tv remote in the room didn't work. It turned the tv on but wouldn't switch the channels. Not a big deal, I could have called front desk and gotten a working one in seconds I'm sure, but I was too tired and just streamed on my laptop as I don't really like tv anyways. FYI: I've worked both Front Desk and Housekeeping in the past and am always impressed with great service, especially in this economy! I know how hard both jobs are! Tip your housekeeper's people! They clean up the most horrific nasty stuff for you every day!

I got a really nice upgrade when I told them I was wanting to stay their in a timeline when all the hotel was reserved so we're other hotels in the area and had a great quiet evening. I had some tile experiences taken advantage of my income I gotta see a lot of our work looking new after all these years of great maintenance and people working on the hotel. I Loved working on this particular hotel about 25 years ago. Salem had a lot of things I remember and new business and menus to keep a person busy for everything they loved want to the cars everyone wants on a amazing price and plan....,Thanks, sincerely, Reid Bryant

It is super clean. The staff are efficient. The rooms are updated and now have a refrig and you can have meals there. I would recommend this to all who visit our city. It is near I-5 and it acrossed Silverton Rd. from a couple of neat Mexican Restaurnants, a barber shop, and walking distance from Walmart, Safeway and banks etc. It looks new in the interior and the freshness, even tho small, catches the eye. It is sufficent for all those not looking for a spacious hotel room.
