DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury

Really impressed with this hotel. The room was very large. The beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge, a table and chairs. Lots of shelf space. The bathroom was nice. Lots of towels. Magnifying mirror. Everything was clean. There were some maintenance issues more than cleaning. 1. A water stain in the shower. 2. The bathroom vent was all dusty. 3. Some little stains here and there. 4. When we turned off the a/c, the fan kept going and it smelled like it was burning. That freaked me out so I turned the a/c back on. Also, you had to unplug the lights next to the bed to use the outlets for your chargers. The lights should really be plugged in below the nightstand and the outlets should be available. It was all redone and looked really nice. I loved that you could choose your room on the app and use your phone as a key! Warm cookies at the front desk! A pretty, grass amphitheater outside and the river. The only issue was there is a hospital next door so bring earplugs or you’ll hear the ambulances. Needs more parking too. There were literally no spots left at night and we had to park at the bank and it had signs that you couldn’t but luckily it was the weekend, and the bank was closed. I’d still stay here again if they kept the prices the same.

Sadly worst experience Ive ever had in my life. Manager chose to leave work early as stated by her employees to us. She took the master key wither her. We were locked out of our room that we paid for, for 45 minutes. We spent all day at the hospital because my grandmother is on her death bed. I have an 18 month old and all of our belongings were in the room. The employees tried to call management multiple times. After 45 minutes we were finally able to get back into our room. We went to talk to the manager the next day about what had happened and she was very cold and brushed us and our experience off and told us to leave. It’s sad when MULTIPLE employees under management have to apologize for their own managers actions. The employees at the front desk were WONDERFUL sadly I have NOTHING nice to say about the higher ups at this location. Hotels and hospitality should go hand in hand…

AVOID THIS PLACE!! I’m a diamond member and I had a miserable experience. First room = no closet, second room=bugs, third room=TV didn’t work!! I saw a roach in the elevator AND the older front desk clerk made a sarcastic comment to me. The manager was supposedly notified of my issues but I was NEVER CONTACTED!! Initially it looks like a nice place (trickery)! It’s anything other than nice.

Do not stay here. Dirty hotel. Not up to Doubletree standards

The hotel is recently renovated and the rooms are really nice. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and responsive. It was a little difficult to get to because of road construction but that was certainly not the hotel's fault.

This previous reviews for this property were from before Hilton purchased the property from Wyndham and converted the hotel from a La Quinta to a Doubletree. I nearly passed on booking this hotel despite it being the most convenient location to Downtown Salisbury based on the reviews. They are no longer accurate. Our room is great. The pool is open. The onsite restaurant is very good. The staff has been extremely welcoming. There are a few signs of ongoing renovation as of 1/2/26, but they are purely cosmetic. If you are staying in Salisbury, the Doubletree is a great option!!!!

This place has all the boxes of a terrible business - an active construction zone because they stayed open DURING renovations, a stop work order on the construction zone from the city that they ignored, understaffed cleaning crew so it takes 1.5 hours to check in, broken amenities like a pool, breakfast just in some random hotel room on the second floor - I could go on. This place is a terrible value for the money and I cannot wait until it is a double tree so Hilton can run a functional business. The staff really were great though and were trying their best despite Wyndham; Crystal and April especially were great
