La Siesta Salou Resort & Camping

There was nothing we didn’t like about this place. The resort itself is set in a great location, just a 5 min walk to the shops and beach. The sea front here is beautiful and very clean, with water fountains dotted about as well as a play area for small kids, ping pong tables, and toilets. There are a variety of water sports - banana boat rides, parasailing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, boat rentals & more. La Siesta Resort & Camping is a great place to stay. The resort has great facilities, pretty much everything you need, the pool or should I say pools, are excellent! Even I (as an adult!) found them exciting! I’d imagine they would keep kids entertained for days! Swimming under the bridges and waterfalls, exploring the many different pools, I have never been to a resort with such an exciting layout and it’s all set in such beautiful grounds, it really feels like your in a rainforest! There is also a heated indoor pool with jacuzzi and fountains and you can swim through flaps into an outdoor heated pool, it really is such an interesting and exciting place, I’d have had the time of my life here as a kid! Being an adult, I had to kinda keep myself a little more contained!! The whole place is very clean, the bungalow we stayed in was modern, and i was very surprised when I looked through the kitchen drawers and cupboards, it has absolutely everything you could possibly need to cook even the most complicated of meals! I visited with my mum for a short break, all in all we had a great time and would definitely go again, I can wait to take my daughter! We both highly recommend.

Jamaica Bungalow for 6: Very clean on arrival- looked quite new · Swimming pools looked lovely: although we didn’t go in because Easter and cold! Can imagine lovely in summer · One heated swimming pool but as the only viable pool was a little too crowded for us · Location, location, location: You could not be better placed here. 5 minutes walk across the street to pharmacy, supermarket and beach/promenade with multiple restaurants. 25 minute walk or so to the theme parks which we did on 2 days · Staff: Responsiveness of staff was great. Used the whats app portal to contact them. o Ant problem in the bedroom on arrival. Maintenance arrived within half hour of the message and sprayed everything. We didn’t have any more ant problems after this. o Blankets: The one blanket provided was a little chilly for April. Again, messaged them and heap of blankets left for us. o Unfortunately our daughter needed emergency hospital treatment due to an allergic reaction. Quickly organised a cab for us to the hospital in Tarragona. Cons · Entertainment is all in Spanish . We stayed in the bar for music quiz and karaoke and enjoyed the atmosphere though · The one padel court gets extremely busy and was fully booked for our stay · Ants on arrival! Do find it hard to perceive that the cleaners hadn’t seen them as quite a few in one bedroom but they were dealt with promptly

We 1st came to la siesta in 2012 when our two boys were only 1 Yr and 3 Yr old, now 13 yrs later we are still coming and now our daughter and son have got to experience all the beauty of la siesta, over the past 6 years we have cane twice a year June and September it is our home from home, we gave created some wonderful memories here and watching our 4 kids grow up creating memories has been amazing, the staff are like family always so welcoming with big hugs and kisses, best place ever ❤️

The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was pretty easy to walk to restaurants and the beach. The laundry and other facilities were closed due to the time of year. The indoor pool was great as well as the little market with essentials and a cafe that sold coffee and pastries. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

It is our 6 th time here. Brilliant as always. It was fully booked due to Halloween, but good that we managed to secure at least 3 nights this time. Usually we go for longer :)

We were staying at Ancora apartments and had access to La Siesta. The pools are fantastic and completey made our holiday. We had a breakfast package at La Siesta and unfortunately I was unwell after our first visit. I can’t 100% say it was because of breakfast but I hadn’t eaten anywhere else at that point, so really can’t see it being anything else. My husband was fine but we ate different things. But this wiped out a huge 6 days from a 10 day holiday. We are returning to Ancora and have booked the breakfast package for access to La Siestas pools but not sure I will brave the food again.

Review from a family of 5, three children under 5, currently staying at the resort. This is a resort with magnificent grounds and pools but is let down by so many fixable issues. Why is it that in 2025 we are still being subjected to ridiculously loud music at Spanish resorts until 11pm that the majority of guests (mainly young families) don’t want to suffer? Loud obnoxious DJ’s playing ‘baby shark’ at 10pm while your kids try to sleep, it’s pathetic. On the room, the bed mattress is hard, the pillows are too firm also. We have ants in the bathroom at night time, funny that was the one thing that bothered us the least. The shower head was also wonky. The air conditioning is excellent, I’d say the best we’ve ever had. The outdoor decking is also excellent but anytime we tried to eat outside wasps came by. There are two TVs but next to no English channels on it so bring your iPad. The main issue with the room however is that there doesn’t appear to be any smoke alarms in the cabin. The website says there are but usually they are very obviously evident. I’d suggest the place be shut down if in fact there are none. There should be one in each bedroom and the kitchen area, these potentially are life saving measures. On the food front., the breakfast is poor, lukewarm food, badly laid out food areas and a fair wait for eggs at the omelette station. We had lunch in the bar also and the pizza was terrible, cremated, I only ate one slice. The cooked chicken in the deli shop is very good but you have to pre order it, you won’t get it otherwise unless there is a surplus. The check in is 4pm which for me is very late. We arrived at 2pm and had to wait in the sweltering heat until the room was ready. There is no air conditioned lounge so you will have to find some shade somewhere. Surely the cleaning staff can be notified by reception of new arrivals and those rooms can be prioritised for cleaning? On the cleaning staff, they were excellent and friendly, but the sheets were never changed once during our stay and we check out in two days. We did pay over €100 for daily cleaning and the sheets should have been changed once as per most resorts. There is also one lifeguard at the pool but none at the baby pools and I saw plenty of near misses if kids almost being injured or worse drowning where negligent parents were not looking after their kids, and yes of course it’s the parents responsibility but for ****** like these this is why you need a lifeguard present. All in all it’s a real shame because as I said the grounds are top class, this could be a 5 star resort with modifications and service improvements if that’s an ambition of the owners.

An honest review of La Seista - amazing location, you feel like you're remote on the campsite but then you leave and are so close to beach, the centre ect. Accommodation- we stayed in Eden bungalow. Basic but good. Clean and maintained. They do take a 200e deposit which i wasn't aware of until arrival. They also request a deposit for the safe and there is an additional charge to use it. Campsite - pools can be a little cold but fine when in once the sun is shining. Great facilties. The supermarket on site is great and the very provides delicious pastries and baguettes. A playground onsite which is great for the kids. Only con was the kids club, we had young kids and they were really looking forward to the activities and entertainment. It was a huge let down for us as mostly in spanish. I know we Re in Spain after all but there is alot of english speakers staying in the hotel so I feel like it wouldn't have taken much to repeat in english. My kids were a little excluded from the mini club and games ect which is why I would not rebook sadly.

Excellent campsite. The pool areas are immaculately clean with no wasps. Even though the resort was busy (we went in August) it did not feel overcrowded and you could always get a sun lounger either in the sun or in the shade. Staff are lovely and helpful. We stayed in the Puerto Rico apartment which was spacious and clean. There was an issue with a light, which was fixed as soon as we reported it. The resort is a 30 euro taxi ride away from Reus airport. There was a lot to do in the local area that you could walk to.
