Just back from a week at CYE ( 29.09.2023-05.10.2023) with my family, a family of 10 all together. 🌞Staff🌞 The staff are faultless. All reception staff, waiting on and maids are friendly and willng to help best they can. The Maid who we had ( we was In room 314) every morning had a smile in her face and always made sure we had fresh towels, bedding when necessary and a clean black bag. Lovely lady & a credit to CYE. 🌞Accommodation 🌞 Took me by Total surprise. We had 2 x one bed apartment and a 2 bed apartment. The rooms was clean and spacious with a modern decor. Beds was very comfortable. There was everything you need for self- catering , Kettle, Toaster, Microwave, Fridge with a small Freezer department. There's 2 electric hobs but I was surprised to find no oven. All necessary cutlery and plates etc with a couple of pans. We was at the front of the hotel and had a small balcony with a patio set which was perfect to sit at to end the day. There is small TV in the room but we didn't use it so can't comment on the channels etc. There was a ongoing issue with the shower in my sisters 2 x bed appointment but everytime they reported it to reception they made sure it was delt with quickly. 🌞Pool & Entertainment 🌞 There are 2 pools available. A small one perfect for younger children and then the main pool. It's a good size and we didn't have any issue with it being over crowded. The Entertainment is run by 2 team members. They deserve a medal. They work long long hours and try there absolute best . There's always a morning pool exercise class and then throughout the day there is a few more sport activities. We caught the football' water polo and water tig. I can't comment on the children's activities as I don't have young children so didn't use them services. Here comes 1 of my 2 negatives 😬...... Even though the Entertainment team tried there absolute best I think the night time Entertainment let's the hotel down (It may be different at peak season). The evening Entertainment for the week we was there was a few quizzes, football and music. Then there was balloon modeling, comedy sketch to songs then another night comedy sketch to movies. Like I say the Entertainment team work there socks off but I just found the evenings boring and was hoping for a "debbie" coming on an belting out adele for the night or "david" belting out meatloaf. Maybe a quiz show like the generation game . A few people we spoke to said the same and explained with younger children they always stayed in at the evening and enjoyed hotels family Entertainment but didn't rate this hotels The evening Entertainment finished around 22.00/22.30 which was also something I found strange and slight early but I assume that's down to the long hours, early start these 2 work... 🌞Food & Drink🌞 The drinks & ice creams I found was reasonable priced and a similar price to bars and restaurants around salou. The snack bar was a tad pricey (€4.50 for chips, €15.00 for 6 chicken nuggets a
