Great location affordable price :) lyft only 10 dollars to delta center so ultimately great experience

Salt Lake City is so popular to tourists that it is hard to get a good deal in the last minute. We booked Motel 6 which told us they did not have a bed for us when we arrived. We had to rebook, and Metropolitan Inn had one room left according to Trip.com. Thus we were fortunate not to go to a more expensive one. The facilities are good. We were happy to stay there for two nights.

The room was clean. The bed was broken in the middle, so we rolled into the middle all night.

Very nice checkin staff. Friendly. They still had the ‘no breakfast due to Covid’ signs up which is lame considering the pandemic has long been over already. Otherwise ok hotel with reasonably nice rooms.

It would have been nice to know of the $100 deposit in cash BEFORE we arrived. I complained and they allowed me to use my CC. For the price, it was a reasonable stay, but next time I stay in SLC, I'll pay more for a nicer place.

The best feature of this hotel is its good location, in the city center, with convenient eating, drinking, refueling and shopping around.

Then the front desk called me and said that there was a complaint about water leakage downstairs. I was also drunk. A motel like you hired so many illegal immigrants from South America. Isn't the money saved enough to hire a master to do waterproofing? At this time, I was already very unhappy. But I didn't expect that the highlight happened yesterday, the day before I checked out. I washed my T-shirts and socks in the bathroom and wrung them dry and hung them on the clothes drying rack by the window. But when I went out in the morning and returned to the hotel at 1 pm, I couldn't open it no matter how I swiped my card. The front desk said that their boss had locked my door and said that it was against the rules to wash clothes privately. Instead of using their paid laundry room? ? ? Excuse me? Did I hear it right? They also said that they would fine me 200 US dollars. They also said that it was because there were many people like me hanging clothes that caused their ventilation pipes to rust. I was so angry that I laughed. How shameless can you say such nonsense? After seeing that the communication was fruitless, I called the police 911 [Figure 1]. After calling the police, I went to the police station at the city hall on the east side to explain the situation before the police arrived. It was also the first time in my life that I rode in a police car [Figure 2] The police said that this was a civil dispute, and it was not appropriate for the police to intervene. But she helped me negotiate, that is, I checked out one night early and lost 400 yuan. In exchange, the hotel no longer charged the unwarranted "fine" of 200 dollars. Although I was very reluctant, I was also very grateful to the police sister for helping me communicate, so I agreed to this plan. Fortunately, I contacted the next homestay landlord to stay in afterwards and checked in at night. Avoided the fate of sleeping on the street. Well, the above is all my experience in this black shop these days. I don't want all the guests who see this article to be cheated again. Salt Lake City is a beautiful city, but it definitely does not include this place.

The room was OK and acceptable for one night. The flowers outside the hotel were very beautiful. The front desk did not pre-collect a deposit, which was a good thing. The key is the price is cheap.
