I stayed at the Double Tree Suites for 3 nights while in Saltillo on business. This was the first time I had used this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The property is surrounded with a security fence and there are 4 restaurants also within the compound. So a person should feel safe while staying there. The room comes with a free breakfast which is adequate but not overwhelming. Every day included the same buffet items. I would have liked the opportunity to order an omelet but couldn't. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Saltillo.

The hotel is clean with all necessary accommodations. The free breakfast in the morning is great and for those that can't stick around, they pre-make to-go bags with bottle of water, sandwich, fruit and a snack bar. There is a free happy hour from 6 - 7:30 pm during the week, free wi-fi and a gym equipped with tread mills, elipticals, bikes, free weights and cable machines. Also, there is an indoor pool. Can't beat the friendly service and helpful staff. They also have a shuttle service that will take you to and from your destination.

This hotel has everything an Out of Towner needs. The front desk attendants speak fluent English and are very welcoming. The room I stayed in was large, clean and comfy. There are many TV channels but few in English. WiFi worked well. The shower produces plenty of hot water, just not in the first 5 minutes. Safety was not a concern as the entire facility is fenced in and there are guards at the entrance. Breakfast in the lobby is very good with many hot buffet style choices and fresh fruit and yogurt. Happy hour at the American Sports Facility behind the hotel is nice with free beverages and snacks. They are currently revamping the patio but when it is done it will be a comfy outdoor relax spot with a charcoal grill for public use. The indoor pool looks nice although I didn't use it. Laundry facility on the second floor is clean and useful. There are a lot of well lit parking spots and a number of restaurants that can safely be walked to and from. If you must travel to Saltillo for work this is an ideal spot to stay.

We stayed for 8 nights with our 18 month baby. The hotel was wonderful. The room was so much nicer than the pictures shown here. We had down comforters, the room was renovated and very clean. The two bedroom two bath was just what we needed traveling with a toddler. I would recommend bringing your own crib. The one they provided was too small, it was the size of a bassinet.

Good option for a big family. Too expensive for a big facility with no functional wheelchair available, no bell boy, smelly bathroom, not clean pool and no open cable tv.

Bad sewer smell from single bed bathroom (we stayed in a suite). Overall fixtures, paint, etc. are old. Noisy AC units.
