This hotel is a fantastic place with a great staff. They have adapted to the constraints of the pandemic and provide excellent customer service and a wide range of amenities. Every morning at breakfast I was greeted by the dining room manager, Jaciara, who is incredibly professional. The staff in the dining area go above and beyond. Cassia is one of the best in the dining room and seems to know what someone needs before they do. The location is close to many attractions but far enough away to get a good night's sleep. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The property is spotless. My one and only critique is that the smart TV's in the room do not connect to the internet. Watching Netflix on my laptop is the worst thing that happened, and that was really no big deal. Overall the place is amazing!

Spent a week at Pousada Marcos on my first trip to Salvador. Chose it because of the price and location. With the hot weather, I wanted to be by the seaside. Everything was as expected for hostels in this price range. The rooms were basic, but spacious and clean and the air-con worked a treat. All good, so would happily recommend for anyone on a budget.

Os atendentes são simpáticos e solícitos. Ficamos hospedados no quarto 409, com vista para o mar. Quarto e banheiro grandes. Limpeza muito boa, roupas de cama e toalhas de qualidade e cheirosas. Pontos que precisam melhorar: o elevador do quarto andar possui uma porta externa que faz um tremendo barulho ao fechar, eis que é necessário empurrar para sair do elevador. assim, ao sair do elevador, você empurra a porta e ela bate com força. isso incomoda bastante, principalmente à noite. Precisa urgente de manutenção. Outro ponto a ser melhorado é o café da manhã. a variedade e qualidade são satisfatória, porém é meio desorganizado. o café é servido a partir das 7:00 até as 10h. Em duas oportunidades desci para tomar café as 7:40 e não havia talheres nem pratos, sendo necessário pedir para as funcionárias para repor, isso que elas têm a visão total da área do café. Os itens do café também demoram a ser repostos, vc tem que ficar pedindo, o que acaba sendo chato. A localização é excelente, tem vários restaurantes, farmácia e mercado bem próximos.

The location is privileged, perfect for going on the beach of the day or in the night bars, and all tips have always come from the receptionists, who deserve exalted. Hotel with shampoo, air conditioning and liquid savon, quality cable TV with various channels, a good space apartment, new swab and water and light saving measures. The coffee machine I wanted to bring home so good, the juices always with orange and another alternative, and of course, both natural. Heat cucuz every day, and the other dishes always varied, what we love. Brood, sweet and salty cakes, always new, and well prepared. The lies that are walking through the trees in front of the hotel have closed this experience with another's key. If you want to enjoy Salvador and don't spend the day inside the hotel, this is certainly one of the best alternatives.

Pros: * spacious clean room * good breakfast opening at 6:30am sharp (doors are locked before then), with lactose-free milk and gluten-free options * okay pool area (no greenery though) Cons: * the A/C was weak, but after running it for one day the room was sufficiently cool (you do need a card in the slot during that day...) * no ”Do not disturb” sign to hang onto the doorknob * the desk in the room was small and very annoying for laptop work (round, glass) * the chairs in the room were not comfortable at all * out of all the staff, only one front desk person spoke English * no laundry facilities * no business room * old slow elevator * window didn't insulate from the street noise that well, but I used 33 dB NRR earplugs to block the noise that came through; there are also many rooms that don't face the street * the front gate didn't open automatically with my key; had to wait for staff to open it; other times it was left open

A localização do Hostel realmente é incrível. Perto da praia do Porto da Barra, você faz tudo andando ou gastando muito pouco de uber (tanto em direção ao Pelourinho como em direção ao Rio Vermelho). Em relação à infraestrutura do hostel, primeiro erro: os sites de reserva divulgam fotos de um casarão amarelo, sendo que a hospedagem não funciona mais nesse casarão e sim em outro, o que pode caracterizar propaganda enganosa, pois o que se vende não é o que se encontra. Segunda questão a ser pontuada: nem todos os quartos possuem ar condicionado e além disso, no meu quarto, um ventilador não funcionava, a luz do banheiro não funcionava, além de haver mosquito no quarto. Achei tudo muito desleixado e envelhecido. Da pra se fazer um hostel e oferecer uma infraestrutura de qualidade para o cliente (ainda que básica). Não precisa ser uma esculhambação. Se você não liga pra infraestrutura e quer uma hospedagem com ótima localização e preço, esse lugar é pra você. Se quer o mínimo de conforto, não reserve.

This hotel is simple but it has everything you need. The pool is great and the internet connection by the pool works better than the rooms. It is located near restaurants, bars, groceries stores, and pharmacies. Breakfast could improve. I wish they had more local tropical fruits. However, breakfast is simple but well served. Located just steps from the beach, which is calm and not lots of waves. Good for kids.
