This mountaintop hotel has relatively small rooms, but the views and atmosphere are fantastic. It's perfect for self-drive travelers and is popular with foreigners. The cabins have a modern feel, a private vegetable garden, and a view overlooking Salzburg. The rooms are small, but the bathrooms are adequate. The main dinner was excellent and highly recommended.

It's located in the hills behind Salzburg, and in the evening, you can overlook the entire city. It's absolutely stunning. The hotel has its own Michelin-starred restaurant, which was closed on Sunday when we visited, but the breakfast was excellent. It's truly one of the two nicest breakfasts I've ever had (the top spot would probably go to Landhaus zu Appesch on Lake Wolfgang), but the value for money is still the best! The hotel also has an outdoor pool, and there's a flock of sheep and bees in the hills behind. I hooted at the sheep twice, and they roared at me, haha. You can lie on the grass in front of the hotel, read, drink beer, and bask in the sun. I wish there were more moments like this.

However, you need to rent a car and drive yourself, it is a 20-minute drive from the old town.
