This hotel in Salzburg offered absolutely breathtaking views! Opening the window revealed sweeping vistas of the Alps, and in the evening, the setting sun gilded the ancient castle while the distant Salzach River shimmered. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee felt straight out of a painting. The hotel's design itself also had a distinct local charm, with wooden structures complemented by greenery, and elegance evident in every detail.
However, transportation was a bit of a challenge. The hotel is located halfway up a hill, and public transport is infrequent. A taxi from the city center cost over ten euros, and lugging suitcases up the hill was even more strenuous. I'd recommend driving or renting a car; there's free parking right outside, and it's a 10-minute drive to the Old Town, making it convenient for visiting nearby attractions.
Aside from that, I really couldn't fault anything else: the room was clean and comfortable, and the mattress had just the right firmness. Breakfast included freshly baked local bread and cheese, and the staff were enthusiastic about recommending sightseeing routes. If you don't mind the transportation issue, or if you're planning to drive anyway, this place is definitely worth a stay!
