Eco Suite Hotel

Nice,modern building ,with comfortable furniture,big rooms full of light,polite staff,strong Wi-Fi,very good breakfast,free safe parking.The location is not central and you must have a car or use public transportation system (hotel gives voucher for free transportation)

Let me first tell you the pluses and then explain why I still didn’t enjoy the stay. Pros: + Pretty clean (if you don’t check what’s under the bed) + Modern design, “fresh” building + Quiet + Democratic price + Free parking Cons: - Poor, average breakfast: 5 types of salami, 2 types of cheese, sliced watermelon as the only fruit, cheap machine coffee etc. Check the photos. - Tricky reservations department. I clearly wrote in the email that I would like to book the Eco-Suite WITH a balcony. Instead of this they booked the room without it and didn’t tell me. Ok, misunderstanding happens. BUT! - The receptionist refused to relocate us saying that she didn’t have free rooms with a balcony. Which was lies because all of them were free. We didn’t meet any single person on the floor during our stay and from the outside it was obviously seen. Once again, check the photos. She was probably just lazy to change the room for us. I should add that we stayed with a 7-months old baby, who goes to sleep at 8 p.m. So, instead of enjoying the evening at the balcony after our child fell asleep, we had to spend the evening in silence on our phones. So, it’s ok for a one-night stay but don’t expect special treatment. I wouldn’t come back to this hotel for another family trip with a baby.

The hotel is situated on the banks of the river. The rooms were clean and spacious with nice views. The breakfast was OK but they could have more options for vegetarians. The unique addition to the room is a small kitchenette in the room: a microwave and utensils, lets you enjoy your own food inside the room. The major attractions in Salzburg are nearby.

This hotel manages to combine the prices of a regular hotel with the ambiance of a youth hostel. The rooms (Eco suites) are nice, with balconies overlooking the Salzach River. The location is okay, with good parking and not far from the city center. Room service and, in general, the attitude of the staff ranges from disinterested to incompetent to catastrophic. There are many small things that don't fit, showing that the customer is not king here. We have repeatedly stayed here in several groups for several weeks due to seminars, and this experience has been consistently the same for all participants, regardless of the season. It seems the hotel’s management doesn't care about its guests at all.

We have to wait for quite some time just to check in. Reception located at the other side of the hotel. We cant use our credit card and have to pay cash. The room itself is nice with a good view of the dam/river. We have a balcony. Location of the hotel is rather difficult to get to. We have to go through so many small lanes & missed the turns few times. On our second night we arrived after 9 because we just came back from Hallstatt. We were locked out of our rooms. We cant enter all our rooms & the reception is closed. We have to rang the bells to open the lobby door at the other hotel & luckily a nice lady from Kuvings house is there & gave us each a swipe key to our rooms. We paid for 2 nights and were not informed that we need to get our swipe key updated.

The hotel was perfect, big comfortable and modern rooms, free wi-fi and parking, tasty breakfast, it is a couple of miles from the city centre, if you have a car it is a great choice, a great value for your money.
