Very nice hotel a short drive from the centre of Salzburg. Beautiful rooms, freshly renovated and spacious bath. The breakfast was simply excellent and served in a nice environment. Only room for improvement is the front desk attitude, definitely not the most attentive and inspiring, but there were no problems.

Amazing stay - We had the best time here! After traveling to several big cities, this was the perfect place to catch our breath. Super easy access to the center of Salzburg on the bus literally out the door, but just the few mins away makes you feel like you are in the country. The breakfast is amazing - definitely a highlight for us. Can’t wait to return!

very nice stay. great option for families with kids. clean, quiet, 2-level room is full of fun for kids. Staff is very friendly and helped several times. SPA equipped with herbs and finish saunas. calm and relax for 2 hours. Breakfast was good. Parking is for free.

Great property with an amazing view. The staff was extremely helpful; the bus stop was right outside of the hotel with a direct bus 15 mins into the city center. Breakfast was great, a little repetitive but still great. Would highly recommend.

This was our third visit to the Hotel Frauenschuh over the past fifteen years. The owners, who live on site, take pride in their small hotel and enjoy providing personal attention to their guests. We were advised to purchase the Salzburg Card which gave us a way to see some of the attractions without spending a lot of money. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable with the breakfast being something to look forward to. The hotel has ample parking which allowed us to hop on the bus, with the bus stop located directly across the street from the hotel. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Frauenschuh again. The view from the room is also fantastic.

So much to love about this place... this might be our favorite of all time because of location, friendly staff and charm all around. Our large comfortable room had comfy beds, small dining table, mini kitchen, large bathroom, jacuzzi tub and a balcony as well. Downstairs, we enjoyed a complete Austrian breakfast in the cozy breakfast room overlooking the mountains. This hotel is located in a quiet, almost pastoral area (complete with lambs grazing in various yards). You can walk down nearby Moostrasse to a small deli for lunch if you choose. Or take the city bus from Moostrasse to old town Salzburg, to the shopping mall or Ikea. We will return here each time, I promise!
