The hotel has been recently renovated, so the facilities are great and it's very clean. It's really close to the train station and not far from the main attractions and the old town either. Thanks to the double-glazed windows, it's super quiet at night. Upon check-in, you get complimentary chocolates and a bottle of water; anything extra has to be purchased. There's a free sauna and gym upstairs. It's not super luxurious, but it's cozy and comfortable. The front desk staff are very welcoming, and the hotel emails you a free Salzburg transport card, which allows you to use all local public transport for free. There's also a bakery nearby with excellent bread and cakes.

A lovely stay at Hotel zum Hirschen Salzburg. The hotel has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly matches the charm of Salzburg. It is within walking distance from the city’s main train station, although not directly in front of it, which makes the location both convenient and quiet. The room was spacious enough for our family of three, including our 3-year-old son, and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and well prepared. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist and offering great advice, including information about the Guest Mobility Ticket for using public transportation around the city. Overall, a warm and pleasant hotel that made our stay in Salzburg truly enjoyable.

Everything was great – the cleanliness of the room, the interior design, the reception, and the excellent breakfast. The sauna was also fantastic. My only suggestion would be for the bathroom fan to turn on automatically when you enter the bathroom and toilet.

The hotel was clean and tidy, and they cleaned the room and changed towels daily. My biggest complaint was the lack of a refrigerator. We were heading to the Lake District the next morning and wanted to prepare some milk, cheese, and ham for breakfast, but couldn't keep them fresh. Travelers who care about this should definitely avoid this place.

This is a nice hotel with pre arrival email reminders to check in. Has mobility ticket for free transportation in Austria for public transport during stay period. Good choice.

Men Customer services went in directly to my room while my Husband went out bought food. Without any notice and mention in night time. BEWARE!!! Never apologise and with bad attitude. No recommend as the room very small and dirty carpet.
