The rooms are very nice great location. The only thing I would say is that the plumbing is a little loud.

The service was very attentive at the reception. Breakfast offers good options of hot dishes, but could have had a fresh orange juice and more options of sweet breads. The internet is good and the valet service is expensive (US$82 for 2 nights) but it was ok. The gym/fitness center leaves a lot to be desired - the equipment is old and doesn't work properly.

We enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and informative front desk. The only thing is they did not provide complimentary bottle of water, and we were unable to have late check-out when we asked at 7AM.

This is a classic old hotel with charm and personality that has been beautifully updated and is located caddy-cornered across the street from the Alamo and two blocks from the Riverwalk. The rooms and beds were comfortable ... the free breakfast was a great addition ... and, overall, our stay in San Antonio couldn't have been any better. The only downside is that one of the elevators was on the fritz while we were there. Highly recommend!

I was definitely impressed with the hotel. I really enjoyed the older look and feel of it. The room was a bit small, but it turned out to be great. I have no complaints about the amenities. Breakfast was pretty good too. However, the tortillas should be home-made. That was my only complaint. The biscuits were good though. Super close to restaurants, the Alamo, Riverwalk etc.

The hotel was transformed from a 1909 historical office building which is located right across the Alamo. I love the lobby and hallway with the original decor. The room is a bit small but towels and sheets are clean. It’s walking distance to all the attractions. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Valet parking is expensive but same for all the hotels in the vicinity. Only one working elevator is available during our stay, we just use the stairs.

The room was very clean,just not very comfortable. The room was very small for a couple that was staying for days. We barely had enough room to turn around .
