Relais Poggio Borgoni

We stayed at Relais Poggio Borgoni for 4 days in May and had a truly wonderful experience. The property has a charming rustic vibe. It was very warm, comfortable and felt like staying in a beautiful Tuscan home. The meals at the on-site restaurant were excellent, with delicious alchemy of flavors. There were also local wines produced by Poggio Borgoni estate. What made our stay exceptional was the staff — everyone was welcoming, attentive, kind and helpful. A special thanks to Francesco, Katya, Claudia, Simona & Chef Biagio. We would gladly return and highly recommend Relais Poggio Borgoni to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Tuscan experience.

We had a great time in this family run hotel. We stayed 4 nights. We also had dinner in there restaurant and it was delicious. We recommend.

Poggio Borgoni is a gem in Tuscany! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like friends. Our room was a good size; we had a king bed, with a view of the pool and countryside, a private bathroom with shower and the windows opened which was awesome in October to let the cool breeze in. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The dining experience is exquisite. The breakfast is different day to day, but basics are always available. The restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly. You need to make reservations for dinner (they always prioritize guests) and the food is exceptional. From the appetizers to the desserts; you will be impressed. is very attentive. Their wine was excellent. The surroundings are so quiet and peaceful. We had a car so the trip from Florence was easy and only took about 20 mins. One day, we drove to Sienna (about 35 mins) to visit and have lunch. We returned by the wine route which was beautiful. I cannot say enough about this Relais. Don't hesitate to book it for your stay in the Tuscany-Chianti area, you will find beauty, tranquility and easy access to many.

This is a very authentic Tuscany experience. The bed was large and comfortable and so was our entire room, an updated farmhouse type building. Very clean and with all the amenities. The food for breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. The dining in the evening was absolutely wonderful. This place has a quaint rustic feel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We loved staying at the Relais so we could drive to wineries and also San Gimignano. Highly recommend!!

Thank you for a truly magical and fantastic vacation! We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every moment. The view of the Tuscan countryside is truly stunning and made us completely relaxed. We had an amazing wine tasting experience hosted by Eleonora. You can really feel how passionate they are about the place and their wines. They make some fantastic red wine, of which we of course ordered 12 bottles for delivery at home. All the staff have been very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Claudia for the fantastic evenings in the restaurant, to Eleonora for a fantastic wine tasting and to Katia and Francesco for always being very kind and helpful at the reception. We are really looking forward to coming back someday!

I want to be sure to call out the place that mom and I stayed during our trip to Tuscany. This was the perfect base for us to stay. They have a restaurant on site and breakfast was included. Barbara took care of us in the mornings, Francesco made sure we had everything we needed during the day (the best parking, where to go, and even brought me a bottle of Persecco and chips down by the pool). Claudia is the best hostess for dinner. She absolutely goes out of her way to make sure your dinning experience exceptional. I have only named a few of the staff who made our trip amazing. They are all top notch including the house pup Fosco. If you are around Florence be sure to pay a visit for dinner or stop and stay a few days. It is time very well spent! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool was beautiful and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. Free parking on site.

Very disappointing: the room has mold (I have asthma, so it was a real challenge), the AC did not work properly, breakfast is far from “excellent”, the restaurant is open only for dinner, except Wednesdays, when it is closed. You cannot eat there unless the owner (very rude person) allows you, otherwise you have to drive somewhere else or fast. The pool is dirty (see photos), during our 6 days stay it was never cleaned. We left as soon as we managed to find another option. Don’t recommend.

Very personal, kind & sympathatic Staff. The Place is gorgeous.
