Bio-Agriturismo la Ginestra

We recently stayed at Agriturismo La Ginestra, and this has truly been one of the most authentic and memorable experiences of our entire Italy trip. The property is surrounded by beautiful olive plantations, vineyards, and open countryside, giving a pure Tuscan rural feeling that you simply cannot experience in big cities. The atmosphere is peaceful, rustic, and incredibly soulful. You wake up to fresh air, greenery, and silence… something very rare in today’s fast-moving world. The breakfast deserves a special mention. Everything served was organic, fresh, and locally produced…from honey to baked items to farm products. You can actually feel the authenticity in every bite. The property also offers experiences like wine tasting and visiting the beehives, which makes the stay even more special and connected to nature. The rooms were extremely comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The beds and memory-foam pillows were perfect after long travel days. The kitchen setup with stove, microwave, and hot water supply made the stay very convenient, especially for families. You get the charm of a farmhouse with the comfort of a modern stay. A very special thanks to Mr. Edwin for his spotless communication from the beginning. The directions to the property, check-in instructions, and every small detail were explained so clearly that the entire process was smooth and stress-free. His hospitality reflects the true spirit of Tuscan countryside living. As Indians, we usually visit famous cities like Rome, Venice, or Florence, but places like this show the real Italy. I strongly recommend every Indian traveler to spend at least a couple of nights in an agriturismo like this to experience genuine Tuscan hospitality, organic food, and peaceful rural life. It adds a completely different dimension to the trip. If you want authenticity instead of just tourism, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended.

Stopped to see the grounds and purchased some products, since they were not offering wine tastings without appointment. While the staff was courteous, the products were absolutely horrible. They wrote over with a pen to hide expiration date on olive oil. We opened it a week after we purchased and it was completely rancid. Same for a small bottle of propoleo. It was expired a year prior and was not the right consistency/appearance. Threw it away. One of the bottles of wine was not good either.

Great property! LOVED the setting, in the middle of fields and countryside. You definitely need a car but it’s a very convenient drive to Florence and the rest of Tuscany. The property is beautiful, and the staff very friendly. The accommodations are in an old building so it comes with the quirkiness of it like noisy plumbing lol. We really enjoyed our stay.
