While it's just a stones throw to the bay & nearby beaches, you can also easily jump on the freeway & explore everything SD has to offer. Our California Bungalow is a true gem. It has little surprises scattered throughout, peace sign fingers coming from the wall, an entirely green room, a painted mural wall, and art the owners' collected from around the world! Our home has easy freeway access and proximity to the Zoo, Seaworld, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, downtown San Diego and just about everything So Cal. Private/Rent a car, Uber or Lyft. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED! Unfortunately, no animals are welcome in this home, no exceptions. Owner's have an extreme allergy to pet hair. A fine of $500 will be imposed and you will be asked to vacate the premises immediately should there be evidence of any animals on the property. The sprinklers are automatic and go on at 5 am each morning Plumbing can be testy. DO NOT FLUSH WIPES!!! Neighbors have dogs but they usually do not bark. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable. - All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID). No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible. -Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am -Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in. -This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter. -Maintenance schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. We also request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay. Such instances can result in a $100 penalty as we will still incur a 'show up' charge, even if no work is performed. -Absolutely no parties or loud music. -Please be courteous to the neighbors and obey quiet hours from 9pm-9am. -No more than 5 people allowed without prior consent. Late Checkout Policy Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows: • Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater. • 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater. • More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate. To avoid fees, guests are encouraged to coordinate with us in advance for late checkout requests. Approved late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur additional charges as agreed upon. These fees are designed to compensate for disruptions to property turnover and operational costs, and we will provide documentation (e.g., cleaning schedules, guest complaints) upon request to ensure transparency. Additional Cleaning Policy Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour. This fee covers costs such as extended cleaning times or specialized cleaning needs. Examples of excessive cleaning needs include, but are not limited to, excessive trash, stains or spills requiring professional treatment, pet hair in non-pet-friendly units, or other conditions requiring significant labor. We will make every effort to accurately reflect the additional work needed and the time required to complete it, providing documentation (e.g., photos, cleaning logs) upon request to ensure transparency. Important Fee Disclosure for Long-Term Stays (30+ Days): Should this property be reserved for 28 days or more, we reserve the right to apply additional monthly fees to cover certain ongoing expenses (eg utilities) not included in the standard nightly rate.
