Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/Sea World Area

Very noisy, could hear people walking jumping above. Sop dosh was broken with shape edges my daughter cut her hand and they never exchanged it.

The minute you walk into the hotel, you smell CLEANLINESS. The rooms were also in excellent condition. I only booked a two-night stay and found myself wanting to extend it for the hotel itself. The parking lot is well-lit and that was very appreciated as well. The only drawback I truly saw was how NARROW the parking spots seemed to be. I'm a relatively small person and, even then, found myself desperately squeezing out of my car and slowly scooting my body on the side of the car to open my door as little as possible. Regardless, the hotel is great and there is a great selection of restaurants in Old Town.

Staff was nice amd friendly. Facility needs to be updated both rooms we stayed in needed maintenance. It was inconvenient.

Please Keep in mind, I am a Hilton rewards member and have stayed at various Hilton hotels throughout California. That being said, I am accustomed to the Hilton standard which is why we always stay with Hilton. This was not the case, upon arrival, I knew the stay was not going to be great from the time we checked-in (lack of customer service or guidance) and room issue. We had a restroom sink back up with raw sewage. I did what anyone would do, call downstairs for help, instead, I received lack of empathy, support, help and compassion for the incident and was told to get a bucket and clear the raw sewage from the sink. Therefore, I was left to scoop sewage water from my restroom sink and basically figure it out. The front desk attendant offered two morning breakfast for the inconvenience, for scooping raw sewage, really! I asked for another room and asked to speak to the manager but neither was available or possible. I was told the manager would be in the morning at 9:00 a.m. but never received a call.I wake up to the same issue, this time the water backed up and spilled on to the floor. I called the front desk again and they finally send a technician to unclog the sink. The technician could not unclog the sink and submitted a request to move rooms due to the serious issue. I finally was approved for a different room with no support or consideration for my families vacation. To date, no phone call from manager (Rafael) to make it right.Disappointing and frustrated.

We had a good experience over all. Hotel is kept in good condition, modern and quiet, walking distance to Old Town San Diego. The room I reserved and paid for it was not available but they gave us a pass for free buffet breakfast as a complementary.

I booked a 3 night stay. Mattress /bed sheet seem old. I could hear the spring making sound every time I lied down. My back got hurt from sleeping on the mattress. Room service is only being done every other day. Front desk is friendly. the location is convenient since there are lots of restaurants. Overall, it was an ok experience.
