The back patio is where people meet and talk about travel plans. I had great conversations there. I will stay here again!

In downtown, great if you plan to spend the night outside, not so great if you want to go out the next morning, awesome if you don't plan to sleep! Very clean and well-maintained, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided (frozen waffles, tea, coffee, fruit), has a small shared kitchen, back and front patios, TV room, office space.

This was a very good hostel, great location in ocean beach and close to a bus stop if you want to go around San Diego. I did have a watch stolen from me overnight that fell from my bed by one other guest in the dorm, with the help of the staff I got this back and they were amazing to help me in this situation. This is entirely not their fault but they handled it amazingly and even asked me if I wanted to swap rooms, thank you guys

Won’t allow me to cancel my reservation even I did it 4 days before my stay. I am not happy about it. My appointment was cancel that time that’s why I need to cancel the satay.

Samesun has everything you could want at a hostel! Cool outdoor hangout area, everything is clean, towels for the beach, yoga mats, nice kitchen space - would highly recommend!

The best hostel I ever stayed, great location near the beach and foods, bars, restaurants. The room is very nice clean and well managed the people and the staff here are very friendly and helpful I love it here!! The breakfast is very nice too
