My second time staying here. This is an interesting hotel. No person at the front desk, it is handled over a video chat. But it wasn't a worry, I got my needs taken care of they even made a special accommodation. The art in the hallway is truly interesting, there is a big very comfortable shared working space, room is solid. Wouldn't be surprised if I stayed here a 3rd time.

Stayed in the room with detached bathroom because I didn’t read the description closely enough. The room itself was tiny and had no exterior windows. (I hit my knee pretty hard on the bed frame and my partner hit his head on the tv trying to get around the bed). It was musty/muggy and hard to ventilate in the room and the bathroom. The bathroom mirror wasn’t clean when we arrived. The shared space was nice, but the water dispenser stopped working and the coffee wasn’t really drinkable. Maybe the other rooms would have better experiences, but I’ll be choosing other options in this price range for my next stay. I will say the area is pretty nice and accessible and I didn’t have too much safety concerns during the stay. I feel like a little more effort from management and this place could be quite charming.

The check-in process was horrible, since the person speaking to me on the kiosk had unstable Internet connection and completely lost the connection a couple of times. It was very frustrating. The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose. I thought it might come apart. These are very basic accommodations, so do not expect anything more.

There are no on site staff. I booked a king room but upon check was informed by a “virtual check in agent” at a computerized kiosk that no king rooms were available but they could offer me two queen rooms as an “upgrade.” The “virtual” agent had a poor understanding of English. She could not understand why I did not want two rooms instead of 1. It was a bizarre experience and quite frustrating.

My biggest complaint is that my TV was not connected to the internet so I couldn’t watch anything. I called the property, spoke with the cleaning staff and sent messages and never got any help. If anything more serious were wrong in the room I imagine it would be the same problem. So really poor service other than the cleaning staff who did a good job. Otherwise, the hotel is in a great location with lots of excellent restaurants within less than 0.5 miles. The rooms were fine - we stayed 4 nights in 2 rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean. I don’t much like grey and every room and the halls are grey which felt a bit depressing and dark. I will probably look for a different hotel in the same area when I come back to San Francisco.

Check in was smooth, just a little different. Great location, all the things we wanted to do were close. Try to get into Rich Table, it’s very good.

Great place. Wonderful central location with lots of good food nearby. Loved the big open room for everyone to hang out in, rooms were very nice. We will likely be back.
