Handlery Union Square Hotel

The hotel's location is great, but there are a lot of homeless people on the street behind it, which made walking around at 8 am quite scary. The hotel itself is a bit old, but it was clean.

The Handlery Union Square Hotel boasts an excellent and convenient location, within a 10-minute walk of the MTR station, tram stops, and other public transport. We felt the genuine enthusiasm of both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team. Upon checking in, the hotel's architecture and facilities conveyed a sense of long history, and the overall environment was impeccably clean. The hotel thoughtfully provides complimentary luggage storage, which allowed us to leave our bags in their dedicated space after checking out on our last day, giving us a full day to explore worry-free before picking them up in the evening and taking BART to the airport.

City center. Full range of amenities nearby. Good.

The location is excellent, right in the city center. The front desk staff were very friendly and checked me in quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the air freshener they used; it smelled strongly of 'luosifen' (snail noodle soup), which was a bit overwhelming. Everything else was great.
