InterContinental Hotels MARK HOPKINS SAN FRANCISCO by IHG

This hotel has a very classic, old-money vibe, perched on a hilltop with beautiful and clean surroundings. It's surprisingly close to Chinatown, just a 10-minute walk. What I didn't expect was that the rooftop bar is incredibly famous – definitely try their martinis!

Not bad, just very windy. The building is old, but it's 100 years old after all. It's all about value for money.

This hotel, opened in 1925, is a century old but has been well-maintained, so it doesn't feel overly dated. The breakfast is a bit expensive and the selection is quite limited. However, the location is incredibly convenient, with the streetcar right at the doorstep. You can buy a day pass and ride it anywhere, reaching all the attractions in San Francisco. Our room even had a perfect view of the downtown nightscape and Alcatraz Island.

The bathroom drain was very slow, so the water would just sit there when I showered. It's mainly because the facilities are quite old.

The parking fee is $77 a day, plus an additional 14% for overnight parking. That's over 600 RMB for one day of parking, which is absolutely outrageous!
