My first visit to the hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything was great, from the friendly staff and comfortable room to Christy's exceptional service and all the interesting memorabilia. I also enjoyed the various conversations we struck up with other guests, which added to the overall experience. The bell person working on the night of October 3 was particularly helpful and courteous, enhancing my stay further. Given this wonderful experience, I am very likely to return and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family, and colleagues.

Definitely a little bit different than your typical business hotel. This place has photos of marines all over the walls and some uniforms and other Marine memorabilia. The bedroom was nice and big with a good work desk, flat screen tv, and fridge. The bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed in the flickery fluorescent light for the vanity area and the shower/toilet room was small and cramped. You have to go in and close the door to access the shower. The free breakfast was good and the view was great from the restaurant. Staff is very nice. Overall I recommend it.

I stayed at the Marine’s Memorial for my birthday and had an amazing time. The rooms were well done, staff was very friendly. I had some small bites and drinks at the restaurant which was great - plus it had amazing views. Can’t wait to stay again!

The hotel is in need of a makeover. The rooms are tired and a bit dark and drab. Staff however are great and bed quality is pretty good, if you don't mind queen beds. The breakfasts are very good and the restaurant gets good reviews (although we never tried it). There is a very well-provisioned gym with a pool on the lower ground floor.

We have stayed at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel many times over the past 25 years. It is the best deal in San Francisco. The rooms are always spacious, no matter whether you have upgraded to a large room or not. The "smaller" rooms are still huge. The staff is friendly. Happy hour and the breakfast are both great. The pool is wonderful for lap swimming, one never has a true lap pool at a hotel, this was a real treat.

Marines’ Memorial Hotel and Club is the best kept secret in San Francisco. It is only a couple blocks off Union Square. Rooms are a great size and well decorated. Free breakfast is included in the room rate and the restaurant on the top floor of the building with fantastic views of San Francisco. Prices are unbeatable. They also include a free happy hour with bites in the quaint Flying Leatherneck Lounge which is not to be missed!!

A remarkable hotel. A stand out establishment. My wife and I stayed here for three nights after a drive from Las Vegas. So very glad we did. It is exceptional. The whole hotel is virtually a museum. Everything is in order and immaculately maintained and presented. The facilities are spotless and of high quality. After using a wash room I felt compelled to wipe up the few drops of water I dropped on the marble bench top. The breakfast which was included in the price was more than adequate. A good selection from cereals to hot food to pastries. Yes, we were presented with a slip of paper and a pen to give us the hint that a tip would be appreciated. This was subtle, but, a little unusual. However, the staff topped up our water, juices, coffee, etc. asked if we were satisfied, serviced our table frequently, so, a tip was justified. The hotel staff overall were some of the friendliest and accommodating we have been fortunate to have been associated with. Regarding the rooms, although the bathroom was a little small, we found it adequate. A good shower, a comfortable bed, and excellent view over the city. We were more than satisfied. We have recommended this hotel to everybody who has asked about our recent trip. We have forwarded the hotel website to everybody we know. It is an excellent one. Should we return to San Francisco we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff. Well done.
