The Lodge at the Presidio is in a great location, and although there are not many restaurants and shops nearby, they can easily be found within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The area is quieter and away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. This is our second stay at The Lodge at the Presidio. We enjoy the clean park, views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the walkability of the trails surrounding the hotel.

We had a room with a lovely view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The breakfast and wine/cheese in the evenings were delightful and loaded with healthy options. The Presidio is an impressively preserved space that offers tons of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in San Francisco. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

High quality hotel. Enjoyed a 1st floor view of the Golden Gate Bridge... Excellent wine happy hour and continental breakfast. Park shuttle and downtown shuttle for our use. Food trucks on the parade grounds and 3 restaurants in easy walking distance... Parking comparatively inexpensive...Recommend highly....

This hotel is AMAZING! Located in the Presidio, it’s the perfect spot to view the Golden Gate Bridge up close. We walked down to the Crossroads Overlook, then down to Crissy Field - excellent views of the bridge. We stayed in a first floor room and it was nicely done. Our room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The bed was so cozy and comfortable, I slept like a baby. We enjoyed a glass of wine, cheese and crackers and a cookie at the complementary happy hour. While we were just there for one night, the staff members we interacted with were professional and friendly. This hotel has earned a spot on the “must return to” list.

My wife and I loved our two night stay at the Lodge at the Presidio. I have visited San Francisco many times over the years, but had never stayed within the Presidio before. I love the hustle and bustle of the city, but staying in the Presidio is so relaxing. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing place that is close to city landmarks but still far enough away to feel like you’ve escaped back to nature. The morning breakfast and evening cheese/wine were great ways to start and end our days.

We've been to a lot of places and a lot of hotels and the Presidio Lodge ranks up there as one of the best. The rooms were spotless, well decorated and maintained/cared for, beds were super comfy with soft sheets, great amenities. The morning breakfast was excellent as was the afternoon wine reception. The hotel is one of the more expensive ones around especially when you add in park fees and California's ridiculous taxes but was worth it for our short stay.

Fabulous location in the Presidio so great hikes/walks and restaurants all close by. Views of the Golden Gate Bridge and easy walk to the Marina and Chestnut street shops. The Lodge has many great old SF photos as well.

My husband and I spent a few nights here on the end of a trip to Yosemite and I was sad we couldn’t stay longer. Cozy, clean and luxurious hotel a pleasant twenty minute walk from the Golden Gate Bridge and in a nice quiet area of the city. It’s convenient to things but feels like it’s own world. The beds were super comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has good variety (pastries, cereal, yogurt, cheese and fruit in abundance) and the evening wine and cheese also includes warm cookies! Rocking chairs on the porch and a fire pit in the back are so nice for relaxing after a busy day of sight seeing.

Staying at the Lodge in the Presidio is as relaxing as you like. There are plenty of walks to enjoy. Chrissy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina neighborhood, Chestnut Street - all easily accessible. Plenty to do, or just walk to the Presidio visitor center and enjoy the scenery of the bay and bridge.
