Reviews of Hotel Nikko San Francisco

Located at walkable distance from Powell Station. The queen bed room is smaller than expected. However, the stay was great. Will be great if the hotel can provide certain amenity suck as tooth brush , shaver etc for business traveller. Coffee and tea bags are not refill daily even I have stayed for 2 nights. Gym is great for workout and open for 24 hours. Breakfast is simple Japanese style and open only after 7am.

Everything was above what we were thinking. The exterior of the building should be refreshed to match the wonderful interior.

Loved it loved it loved it. The fact that you get the gym pool and sauna included in the resort fee is stellar. A great place for a 24 hour romantic rendezvous.

The room is beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. Located in a convenient spot only 5 minute walk from the underground train station that can get to the airport, and 5 minute walk to the street trams to Fisherman wharf and Pier 39. Staff are super friendly and gave us two free drink vouchers for my husband’s birthday celebration.

Room is clean but on the smaller size compared to other US hotels. Location is good with lots of eateries and restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel.

Central location downtown close to Union Square. Nevertheless the neighborhood is slightly rough. Good service, but only 1 bottle of complimentary water for the whole stay. Rooms are clean, but a little small. Good views of the skyline in the higher floors. Staff very friendly.

Good for traveling for business in terms of location, very downtown. There is an additional cost on the room for "wifi and water" on daily basis though...

It is a clear and tidy hotel with no doubt. However, some of its staff were extremely rude. I went down to ask them if the hotel offered turndown services. The man starred at me then asked, in a highly disrespectful tone, “what do you mean by a turndown service?” Completely shocked that I would encounter such a question at a Nikko hotel, I could not say a word for like ten seconds while that man continued starring at me. How can I reason his behavior if not an intentional embarrassment?

This is the hotel I am most satisfied with during my trip to the United States. The front desk staff can actually speak Chinese, the service attitude is very good, and the hotel environment is also superb. The location of this hotel is also impeccable.

This Japanese-managed hotel is very clean and the facilities are very useful. It is also environmentally friendly and considerate. The bottles of free bottled water provided in the room can be reused as kettles. The neighborhood is also relatively safe.
