Another disappointing experience. The booking price was more than 4,000 and one night. I thought it was better than Liz. The result was that I found a Samsung hotel and the front desk offered two thousand. Two big and one small gave two single bed rooms, the front desk means to act according to the order. She has no responsibility. The room we booked is wrong. The problem is that Ctrip can answer that I have paid such a high price. I can't get the corresponding service because I chose the wrong one? At checkout, there was an additional $30 in facility fees per day, but the Ritz Hotel did not. According to Ctrip's regulations, this fee is paid separately by me. Ctrip defines the rules as perfect for themselves, without any problems. I just want to remind you that it is very simple for me. I paid a high premium. My expectation is to get better service. I can live comfortably in two big and small, I will not spend too much time researching. How big is the bed, and there is an extra cost to pay. Where can I provide a satisfactory reservation service, I am going to book it, but Ctrip is obviously not. Thank you, goodbye Ctrip.

It is a clear and tidy hotel with no doubt. However, some of its staff were extremely rude. I went down to ask them if the hotel offered turndown services. The man starred at me then asked, in a highly disrespectful tone, “what do you mean by a turndown service?” Completely shocked that I would encounter such a question at a Nikko hotel, I could not say a word for like ten seconds while that man continued starring at me. How can I reason his behavior if not an intentional embarrassment?

Great stay at the FS as always. I must say that I was a little worried with all the recent press about SF and Market St in particular. I had not been to the city in years but I can report that the demise of SF has been greatly exaggerated. The FS as usual is a respite from the outside world. The beds are super comfy, the service is great, wonderful bar. The breakfast at MKT is pretty good, some items (corned beef hash) miss, but others (Migas) hit. Great value.

average visit, maybe I expected more given their reputation. I visited SF for a two-day concert so I expected not to stay too much in my room anyways. Picked the Ritz primarily for the location. Also this was my first time staying under my own name so always wanted to get the welcome envelope with my name on it. (They misspelled it 😔) Booked via Amex’s FHR primarily for the early check-in at around noon and late checkout. I received an upgrade to a City View room but I must’ve arrived too early because my room was not really prepared. It had a few missing amenities like slippers, dental kits, combs etc. No welcome gifts other than chocolate. Only ate breakfast there but food is okay. Great portions though! Most of the time, I left the hotel at 10/11am and came back after midnight. One time no valet was there to pick up my car so had to call and request someone to pickup my car. Otherwise, all other services and staff were pleasant. The bedding and Frette linens were fantastic and it helped me sleep well. You also get a bottle of water EVERYTIME you pick up your car from the valet! I actually really like this since the only thing I could bring to the venue were sealed water bottles! Wifi was good, great for work and meetings. For a 5-star hotel, it wasn’t amazing compared to what I had heard. Might pass next time I’m in SF.

We chose this hotel as part of a package deal with BA. The location is great, the view from the room and service staff (bell hop, cleaning team etc) we're lovely. There were definitely more cons than pros for this place. We requested a replenishment of tea, creamer and sugar which never arrived. We ordered a $7 croissant which took 45mins to arrive and even after the $6 delivery charge and 15% the bill was $24?! We sent that back. We asked the reception for some advice on a travel ticket, which was wrong. The first day we decided to try breakfast at the hotel, I strongly recommend finding somewhere else. It was almost $100 for 2 classic breakfasts (toast, egg, bacon or sausage) and some OJ, not worth the money AT ALL. When we gave our feedback on checkout, the front of house was dismissive, unapologetic and we are leaving feeling disappointed with that service. Such a shame

I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. Stayed two nights. The hotel is located near Union Square, and the location is very convenient. You can take tram as soon as you go out. There are many famous brand shops and shopping malls nearby. The location is superb. However, the content of the hotel may be a long time ago, except that it is very small and outdated. You absolutely don't dare to step on the slippers, and you ca n’t imagine the dirty. Other equipment can be clean, but for the convenience of transportation, it is also possible to endure a night or two.

My parents and I enjoyed our stay at HUS. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. They have an option where they can send you text messages to check up on you. The room was clean and organized. I would agree with other reviews that there was a slight smell to the room, probably because the building is so old. Nonetheless, the hotel was a good value for the money and the location was great! We bought the parking package online that included valet parking, which helped save us 50% of the parking costs. When parking, there are a few curbside spaces right in front of the hotel off of Powell St. We didn't know if we could drive onto Powell St., since the public transit rail goes right through the street, but yes, we are allowed to drive onto that street. Also, the hotel stay required us a $100 deposit that gets refunded when we finish our stay without causing damage.

It is not very good. I thought that San Francisco lived comfortably. I used to have a good impression of the Marriott brand. But this Marriott hotel is too old. When I booked it, I can live for 4 people. As a result, 2 people feel that the room is too small compared to Shanghai. The Marriott is too far away, and the price is high. In short, after booking a hotel, the old hotel is not good.

My room and furnishings were acceptable for my four day business stay. The room door has large gaps around it, though. This permits all hallway noise to be heard in the room. Worse, it allows all the ********* smoke into the room. My coworker was two floors up from me and complainedbabout the same issue I had trouble sleeping because the ********* smoke was so thick in my room. I stuck a towel under the room door, where the biggest gap was, but I had nothing to block the gaps on the top or the sides of the door. Without the ********* smoke issue and some noise issues, I would recommend Hotel Icon to male travelers.

I don’t know how, but people who work on the front desk either don’t communicate between each other or don’t speak good english. I accidentaly left a jacket in the hotel and noticed it the day after checking out. I immediately contacted the hotel and when they told me they found it, I arranged the postal service to pick it up and send it to me (even though I still don’t understand why I had to arrange everything instead of the hotel sending it to me). I had some trouble with the postal service so I figured out it would be easier if my friend that just arrived to SF picked it up for me. So they called the hotel, quite a few times. Every time the front desk would give a different response (first, that they have the jacket, then that they don’t, then that they DON’T KNOW if they have it….) and then the last: we have it, you can come pick it up. My friend came the next day and got yelled at, that they don’t have the jacket and how SHE DARES COMMING a month after I checked out. I have to mention that I tried e-mailing the hotel a few times, but it seems that they don’t check the only e-mail adress they have. Since it seems that I have to give up my brand new jacket (I live in Europe and I don’t know if I will ever be back there), this is the only thing I could’ve done. The hotel itself is okay, rooms and beds are just fine.
