The hotel's well-maintained garden, heating, hot water, and excellent WiFi were praised. The friendly staff provided exceptional service. Guests loved the fresh breakfast and cozy, spacious rooms with lovely views.

On arrival our group was made to feel welcome . Happy hour came and went, dinner was good. Unfortunately the hotel then let itself down. To cut a long story short, the manager told us at about 7.20 that the bar and main areas would all be shut down at 8.00. The reason being that they were short staffed due to this being low season. (Yet they had accepted our booking, and there were other guests. ) This is the only area in the hotel where WiFi is available and a group could assemble. After our objections the area did remain open until 9.00 with one young girl taking very good care of us. The following day as we were leaving the manager carefully avoided us.

We had such an enjoyable stay at Hotel Suria we didn’t want to leave! It is situated in the most beautiful surroundings up quite a steep road ( I highly recommend using a 4x4) . Our cabin was beautiful, clean and very comfortable beds. The staff were just amazing, the manager Christina is clearly someone who loves her job and her enthusiasm is infectious! The waiting staff are so friendly and thoughtful, and Joshua makes the best margaritas! We had a lovely walk to the waterfall close by. I highly recommend the trails at Savegre Trails nearby. We will never forget this beautiful place!

Rooms very clean and spacious and staff friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t recommend the restaurant though as portions were very small, food very cold and price outrageous. No hot water until late afternoon. I would also ask the management to put bird stickers on the restaurant windows as occasional poor hummingbirds run through it and got stunned. Other local hotels do it already.

We travel a lot and found this place not to be acceptable. The room was very small, no desk, no cabinet. We had to move the dress stand to the bathroom in order to create space for our luggage. Coffeemaker is in the bathroom just above the toilet. Dinner was overpriced and disappointing. Will go back to the valley for the Quetzales but definitely will stay in Savegre Hotel.

I could not wait to leave. Rooms cold, dark, sparse. No TV, no Internet. Internet only in reception and restaurant. Lighting in bathroom almost non-existent. On arrival, the room smelled of sewage. Flies and Mosquitoes flying around in the bathroom, as the vented windows would not close. Asked to be moved but the hotel was full, so they came and forced the window shut and put something over the broken pane. I killed the Mosquitoes and flies. Went to dinner and had trout, which was lovely, but unfortunately, the potato wedges were almost raw and inedible. We ordered drinks and sat by the log fire, as by now it was pretty cold as this place is high in the mountains and cloud forest. We tried to get further drinks, but we were told that the bar shut at 8 30pm! As the staff tidied up around us, we realised that they wanted us out. So back to the very cold room, with one ridiculously small electric fan heater. On the bed was a six legged insect the size of a walnut and a spider. The room was very dusty. We slept badly. The shower next morning was dangerous. Cold one minute, then boiling hot the next. The room and bathroom were cold. Breakfast was very basic, the toast tasted weird, like it had been on an oily hotplate. Only eggs and beans and rice as other choices. The breakfast room was cold. The fruit was nice. The gardens are beautiful. However, this is not an experience I would ever wish to repeat. I've had more comfortable holidays in a tent. The area is beautiful, but I would recommend finding a better hotel.
