I'm not sure where to even start – I’ll just say that Bernie (the GM) and the entire Blancaneaux team do an incredible job managing the property to the highest standards! My family and have I have traveled many times to Belize, and even when to Coppola sister property, Turtle Inn; however this was the first time to Blancaneaux. It is a 2 hour drive from Belize City International Airport, but the roads were in great shape so no issues with that. Upon arrival, 2e were quickly greeted, given an overview and shown to our beautiful 2 bedroom villa on the creek. Can’t say about the opportunities to do a variety of activities in the area between horseback riding to Big Rock Falls, the ATM caves, tubing down the Privassion Creek onsite, and so much more. In addition to the numerous activities, you’ll enjoy great meals at each of the 2 restaurants onsite, along with impeccable service. I will also give the Blancaneaux team a special shout out for their assistance in updating plans due to Hurricane Beryl as we were scheduled to be traveling from Blancaneaux to San Pedro. However, due to the storm they were helpful in reaching out to sister properties Turtle Inn and La Lancha (in Guatemala). We ultimately ended up at La Lancha (which is amazing), but transportation and other logistics wouldn’t have happened without the Blancaneaux team. All in all, my family and I can’t wait to return and stay even longer! You won’t regret your decision to come to Blancaneaux Lodge! Special call out to Ernesto at the Jaguar Bar, Marty at the Montagna Ristorante and Leo at the pool – all employees provided great services, but Ernesto, Marty and Leo really went above and beyond.
Response from Property: we are thrilled to read your feedback- we will share with our entire team.

This is a one of a kind experience that you must come enjoy! The grounds are breathtaking, the river and waterfalls are incredible, the staff are friendly and genuine, and Belize is a beautiful country! Hike to Big Falls from property, come back and enjoy the freshest food from their garden, wonderful poolside cocktails, and appreciate the amazing place you are staying. It’s so unique, and they really know how to make things go smoothly for you. Lots of adventure opportunities, tours, horseback riding, etc. Or you can totally unplug and sit in peace and tranquility. Hit the spa in the afternoon for incredible relaxation, and then go gut ready for dinners that are mouth watering! The kitchen staff is so talented, and the ingredients could not be fresher! I can’t say enough good things. Come enjoy- you will be so happy you did!
Response from Property: We are thrilled to ready your feedback- we will share with our team. Thanks for taking the time out to post your review.

Blancaneaux Lodge is magical! The setting is beautiful, the staff are excellent and so friendly, the villa was perfect. We had a villa with two double rooms, it was incredibly spacious, exceptionally clean and beautifully done. We did two trips, the Barton Creek Caves and Caracol Myan site. The concierge (Gemuel) arranged it all so it was stress free, the packed lunch was excellent and very substantial, on both days the guides were a delight to spend time with (Alex and Gilbert) and both exceptionally knowledgeable. We also did the little river tube trip straight from the Lodge, that was fun and relaxing - we loved it! Spend some time at the Bar with Giovanni too - great company! All in all I highly recommend.

Blancaneaux Lodge is spectacular for many reasons. The staff were absolutely phenomenal, with their attention to service and insuring that your individual needs were being addressed related to activities, comfort and food. Please understand, this is not a tropical jungle, as it is more of a pine forest, thus don't expect tropical birds, plants, and or animals. If you see them it would be rare. The lodge is isolated within this forest, located next to a "stream" in the dry season, and a river in the wet season. The waterfall which is visible from many of the rooms is manmade, however you can do a fairly long hike to a very nice waterfall, called "Big Rock Falls". Almost all of the activities are off property, and take a bit of time to get to. I Would highly recommend going to the ATM caves. There are 3 restaurants on property, which are the only options for food. It is very nice that they are all good, with enough variety to satisfy most foodies. The room we stayed was one of the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villas, and it was great. The lodge is very intune with their environment, having their own garden, generate their own electricity, and water source. There is no air conditioning, nor blended drinks (all shaken), but that was not a problem for us even though the temperatures were in the 100 degrees fahrenheit. 3 - 5 day stays are probably tyhe best options.
Response from Property: We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our services, thank you and hope to host you again soon..

Numerous positives, very minimal negatives. Let's start with the positives. The property is fantastic, everything worked well in the room, food was good, and staff were absolutely phenomenal. The staff were the best part of this property. There were also tons of activities, some on-site at no cost and others you could book to leave the property for further exploration. The minimal negatives: Wifi was pretty weak in the rooms (but worked well near the common areas) and applying bug spray was a regular necessity. But other than this, it was a really nice property with great staff.
Response from Property: Thank you for the wonderful feedback- Thank you, Thank you.

We loved our stay at the Blancaneaux. The location in the nature, along a river is just amazing. The cabanas are beautifully decorated, we highly recommend the bigger ones with a river view. The excursion to Caracol Maya Ruins was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the Maya history and culture. It’s really a must do. And the pack lunch was very premium and good. Finally we loved the restaurants we tried there, the garden experience is truly unique, we loved it. And the food at the Guatemalan restaurant was delicious. The staff was very welcoming and nice. We would love to go back.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Blancaneaux Lodge for a few days. It is truly a unique and beautiful resort. The entire team went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect, and they all knew our names by the first night. The food is excellent. we were lucky to be there on the night of their farm to table family style dinner. We walked through their vegetable garden and learned all about what they grow there. Then, we enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and a delicious vegetarian dinner with other property guests. We had a beautiful cabin by the river, there is no ac but it was quite cool in the evenings. The location is perfect as it is close to all the pyramids and other attractions. Highly recommend!!!

Blancaneux Lodge was a true escape and perfection in every way! The staff is lovely and so attentive. Housekeeping always came when we were out. We never saw them, but everything was always refreshed. We particularly loved our family style meal in the garden after a garden tour! Would reccommend Barton creek cave tour, and horseback riding to Big Falls for activities!
Response from Property: We are so excited to read your feedback and very glad you enojyed your saty.

Blancaneaux Lodge is absolutely beautiful. You are fully immersed in the pine forest. The Villas are very cozy, providing a home-like feeling. The Lodge staff are all kind and attentive, especially Marty!! Marty is very personable and made sure our family was taken care of at every meal. The tour guides are also polite and informative. Our overall experience at Blancaneaux was wonderful, we did not want to leave!

Blancaneaux Lodge is in Cayo/ St Ignacio which is West Belize. The drive from Belize City is around 2 hours and you should factor that into your plans. The lodge is very cute but because its built on hilly landscape there are steps everywhere. An average days was 23 floors and 10,000 steps on my app. I didn’t mind at all but someone less active might find it challenging. Three restaurants, one vegetarian, one Honduran and only open part time, and the other the main restaurant; there is also a bar serving snacks - but when it’s off peak, it will close early as it did on our trip - shut at 9.40pm! The food needs an overhaul, though the green salad was fantastic, bruschetta juicy and the steak well done. We stayed at Blancaneaux and Turtle Inn - both Coppola Hideaways and Blancaneaux definitely had the best dining by far. I would have like to see more indigenous cooking rather than Italian.. But unlike Turtle Inn, at least what was served was nicely made. Staff were lovely and helpful. Accommodations were spread far and wide and it feels very private and secluded which is lovely. The location is peaceful for sure.. But lacking win wildlife.. pine reserve doesn’t attract fauna which some might like but if you want wildlife, this place doesn’t deliver because it can’t due to location. We did the riding to the falls trip- unimpressed and the ride was so short.. the falls were a steep descent with an even steeper ascent afterwards and not worth that visit as full of bathing tourists! The Villa 11 we stayed in was lovely but would have been so much more comfortable with ac.. and the plunge pool needed heating because off peak, that water gets really cold - probably great when it’s boiling hot and you need to cool off, but cold iff peak when it’s been raining, which means we didn’t use it much yet that luxury was the reason we booked that villa - so that was a disappointment for sure. Bathroom was cute, decor nice. Best advice is stay no more than 4 nights or you will get bored. Although the spa was lovely, there are only so many spa treatments you can do! Main pool area is nice, but they should play some music! Honduran restaurant opens a couple of times a week and was OK but not earth shattering. I’ve had better. Overall I’m giving Blancaneaux a B.
Response from Property: Never the less- thank you...

My family visited Blancaneaux Lodge last week and had a wonderful time. The 2 BR villa we stayed in was well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. There were a good number of both free and billable activities to take advantage of during our stay. The best part of the experience were the staff that we interacted with. From the concierge to the cleaning crew, everyone was very friendly and attentive to any request we made. Definitely a place we would stay at again!

We just returned from four nights at Blancaneaux Lodge (after seven nights at their sister property, Turtle Inn) with our two older teens and have nothing but raves about the place. We have similar comments about this property because the location, accommodations, food, and -- most especially -- the staff and service are all excellent. Because of the combination of facilities and activities, the stay was both interesting and relaxing. We set up a number of activities and adventures through the hotel concierge and everything was seamless and first rate, from our arrival from Turtle Inn (after ziplining on the way!) to the garden tour and cooking class with Myron (who was a terrific teacher and guide about local cuisine and customs) to our trip into Guatemala to tour the Mayan ruins at Tikal (with wonderful drivers and guides to bring it to life and help make the transit as easy as possible) to horseback riding to the nearby Big Rock Falls with Edgar. Even a day of rain didn't dampen our enjoyment. Personal attention from all team members, but particularly Osmani who served as our attendant for the duration of our stay, was exemplary and impeccable. We enjoyed the variety of dining options at the property (although the Garden Spot was under renovation during our stay) and loved the fresh fruits and vegetables grown onsite. Thanks to GM Bernie for making us feel so welcome and for leading a team that created such an amazing and memorable experience.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for a wonderful feedback- Osmani and I were so happy to host you.. Hope we see you soon again..

The service was impeccable with a high staff to guest ratio, knowledgeable guides and wonderful food choices. From the ride in with Hugo, Caracol with Alex, ATM with Adonius, tubing with Carlos to the ride to Turtle Inn with Geronimo, the attention to comfort while adventuring in Belize was spectacular! We will be back!
Response from Property: We are so happy to know that you enjoyed our service, I will share with the team..

One of the best hotels in the Pine Ridge area. We stayed at one of the river cabanas, the view is just beautiful, the cabana was comfortable, loved the natural soaps and all the amenities, there is enough drinking water, safe in the room, hammock and games. The staff is very helpful, check-in was very easy and we had a delicious welcome drink. I also had a wonderful massage at the river side spa, one of the best. We walked the trail around the hotel, which is short and it gives you a feel of the Pine Ridge and the jungle at the same time, didn't see any birds. Now a couple of complains :) our cabana shared the same floor (deck) with the cabana next door, so we felt every movement and heard every sound too. Our ceiling fan stopped working in the middle of the night, so it was very hot and uncomfortable. The food at the Guatemalan restaurant is anything but Guatemalan, they really need to improve it. Food at the main restaurant is really good, try the Coppola wine Diamond collection.
Response from Property: We truly value your feedback- much appreciated.
