The hotel was nice and clean . I would have giving it 5 stars had it not been for a lady named Efren in guest services. I have never felt so disrespected and treated like garbage by someone who’s job is hospitality. Even check out time is 12 a cleaning walked right in! No knocking. But that’s not my major issue. That lady Efren made me feel worthless and I need to speak to a manager ASAP to discuss the full details becuz this is unheard of! To even yell n raise ur voice to a customer?!? I wasn’t rude or irate. I just had a question and concern. I will be sharing this experience on every platform, social media, even the better business bureau. No one deserves this treatment. I’m so upset and my anxiety is in high gear. Thanks to efren I will have a sleepless night because I’m very upset. There’s plenty more to add. I’d rather speak to a manger or someone who will not let it fall on death ears. I know there’s a lot of reviews that come in but this not only needs to be FULLY addressed but I truly deserve a sincere apologies for this huge negative effect. There’s as many hotels around you’d think this place would value the ones they have. I’d even put up with the cleaning lady walking In unannounced and before checkout. She even apologized. I hate the distance to Santa Cruz from this hotel and we passed quite a few others. So I don’t know what manager is doing or are aware of this but it’s unacceptable. Even if it just happened once. I treally really would appreciate a response. And please not a generic response. I apologize if I come across stern. I’m not. I’m total opposite. I’m just really really upset and offended

The room is clean and the surrounding facilities are complete. We happened to stay during the Christmas period. There was a light show on the stadium next to it. The festive atmosphere was strong and there were many people. Because the tickets were sold out, we could only watch it from the outside, which was a bit regretful.

Fortunately I only spent one night here. I was surprised by the lack of basic service and amenities: Before my arrival, I used the chat feature to ask about parking but never received a response. Upon arrival, the employee at the front desk was unfriendly and charged me for parking without my consent. I asked about parking, making clear I was trying to decide whether to park my car at the hotel or somewhere else. She told me it was $35 for in and out privileges, I asked how much it would cost to park directly in the lot (since I did not need to go in and out) and she said ”I think it's $22 but just bring me your ticket” in a pretty rude tone. I was taken aback by her tone so I did not continue to engage in the conversation and I did not respond confirming I wanted parking, expecting I would pay directly with the lot, and later learned she charged me $35 anyway, plus a $5 tax she did not mention. No acknowledgement of Marriott Gold status, no upgrade, no explanation. I don't know if I received a welcome gift. The air conditioning in my room was not working, and there was a comically large plastic fan next to the TV. When I arrived to my room at 10 PM it was 80 degrees, so the fan was useful but I feel like they should probably fix the air conditioning or at least warn the occupant that it's broken. I would not stay here again.

Even during COVID-19 -- Marriott Residence Inn was a great stay! I always prefer to stay at Marriott Residence Inn when I travel -- because these rooms are ”mini condos” with bed, kitchen, living room, and laundromat. This stay was different -- I just wanted to have some quiet time from family during COVID-19. I'm on Weight Watchers -- so being able to bring + cook my own food worked for me when I didn't go out to eat. I was fortunate to get a room on the end -- so it was quiet which I liked. Usually this hotel room has plates, pots, pans, utensils -- all that you need in a kitchen -- but it was all taken out. I was glad to use my own plates, pans + utensils. Better safe. If I needed anything - hotel staff was just a phone call away. The hardest part was parking -- it was packed because we couldn't go anywhere during COVID-19 shutdown, even beaches were closed.

Very good hotel, very sentimental, stayed six years ago, after six years, I feel consistently good, especially for people with petty bourgeoisie, basically can be a net red hotel, everywhere can take pictures. The location is also very good, recommend a place to stay in the Bay Area. Breakfast time is very human, usually until 10 o'clock, weekend to 11 o'clock, especially suitable for people who sleep late

Location is great near main roads/highways in/out of the area. Staff was super helpful in answering any questions, following through on requests, etc. (especially Linda, she is awesome). Has food locations on site (including Starbucks) and a small gift/supplies shop. Plenty of room, it's a good size venue. If anything, the decor and ambiance is a bit dated and needs updating. But the room was big, the mattress was comfy, and the view from upper floor was good. Good experience overall and would recommend for sure as an affordable option in the area. Note that it is a long way from Levi's Stadium, and you need to take either a car (don't recommend that because the parking/driving situation at the stadium is insane), Uber/Lyft (very expensive but it gets you semi-close, with some blocks to walk remaining), or light rail (very close by, super cheap, but very crowded).

I was not expecting much for the price, with hot breakfast and parking included. I wanted a place that was reasonably clean and quiet and convenient, and walking distance to the medical center where a family member is recuperating. The mattress is excellent! The room is nicely laid out and spacious, with a fridge and microwave and keurig. I slept like a lamb. As somebody extremely sensitive to mold and chemical smells, I am glad to say the room smells like... nothing. No strong cleaning agents, no masking of old funk, just a clean healthy room. This is the main downer for me in hotels, the masking of smells with chemical deodorizers -- none of that here. The hotel is next to some walking neighborhoods, and is also close to very good take-out and restaurants and a convenience store across the street. The breakfast room / bar is really comfortable and well laid out. Breakfast was actually really good! Eggs, not rubber, scrambled with greens; sausages, rather tasty; potatoes and waffles and toast and stuff. No blaring televisions, just a nice place to sit. The bar is open 3-9pm and they have a nice selection of beers and wines. This is my favorite budget hotel in San Jose hands down! And if you have a car, it is even more value. It has plenty of covered parking under the hotel, accessible right off the street.
