Reviews of Playa Azul Cozumel

Initially our room was not very nice- damp bed, broken toilet handle, intermittent hot water and generally tired. However the management did address the issues by moving us to another room. The maids did a lovely job at creating new animals out of the blankets and added flowers on arrival. Unfortunately the first evening meal was a disaster. One main meal was overcooked and served before starter (which was incorrect) and the 2nd main meal was served incorrectly twice. Finally, the front desk resolved some of the issues but no ‘compensation/ token, for the errors was offered.  The following days were better, the breakfast was good and the staff made an effort to make our stay better. Although the hotel needs some renovations it was a chill and pleasant stay. Small beach but sunsets were beautiful.

The location is perfect, with an incredible beach area directly accessible from the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable but suffer from high humidity. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is really good and the food in the restaurant is great.

Really lovely stay with especially friendly staff in the restaurant. Gorgeous resort with two beaches and nice pools - the food at the hotel restaurant is excellent so we ate there happily every night.

This hotel has a fantastic sea and beach, probably the best in Cozumel. The staff was incredibly friendly and allowed us to stay in the common areas and use the pool even after we checked out. The private beach has enough loungers for everyone. And it's in an excellent location, given the hotel's small size. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Generally, the facilities are old, the room lighting is dim, and the high-rise rooms should face the sea.

Estadia muito boa! O hotel é limpo e iluminado, em frente a uma praia sensacional. Fui para comemorar meu aniversário com minha esposa, filhos e 2 anos e meu cachorro (muita liberdade para animais por sinal), e todos aproveitamos muito o hotel e as dependências. Decoraram meu quarto, com muita gentileza. A Suite Ocean front é algo de perder o fôlego. O hotel é antigo, o quarto tinha algs problemas de manutenção, mas nada que prejudicasse a experiência. O café da manhã oferecido como cortesía é honesto, porém nada a ser exaltado. No geral voltaríamos com certeza.
