Horizon Village & Resort

The resort was very large and located quite far from the city, which was exactly what I wanted for a quiet 3-day relaxation stay. However, the mosquito situation was a serious issue. There were a lot of mosquitoes around the ponds with stagnant water in a lot of areas, and also in my first assigned room. I was bitten multiple times within minutes of entering. It felt uncomfortable and not well controlled for a property of this size. This was the main negative point of my stay. I raised the issue with the staff, and to their credit, the manager was very kind and immediately changed my room to another wing. I also contacted Trip.com, and they responded quickly with support and solutions. The second room was much better, and the hotel provided mosquito repellent, which helped, but the initial experience was quite disappointing. Overall, the service recovery was good, but mosquito control needs serious improvement for a stay that is meant to be relaxing

A Stunnining Botanical Retreat. One Major Drawback The property sits within a vast, meticulously maintained botanical garden with lakes, traditional Lanna-style houses to visit and a small zoo with rescue animals. Walking around the grounds feels immersive and peaceful. There are 6 villas and most of them have swimming pools. It’s very well maintained, and you can see the care that goes into preserving the land. If your goal is to slow down and disconnect, this place is good. There aren’t lively bars or many social activities and the retreat is next to a busy highway and not a lot else around. Despite the lakes and gardens, mosquitoes in February were manageable with repellent and not a major issue. There are loads of play areas for kids. The only real downside is the food. There is a breakfast restaurant and a café and another restaurant for dinning. Prices are typical for a resort, but the quality doesn’t match the standard of the property — particularly in Thailand, where food is usually exceptional. Since the resort is quite isolated, food offering becomes an important part of the experience, and after a few days this was the main frustration.

Is a very pleasant stay. The staff are amazing people and very friendly despite them already being extraordinary tired from the loykrathong where nearly every room is taken up. Room 5/5 well maintain despited aged. The balcony is always pleasant Service 5/5 so far even with a tired face the staff has been amazingly kind Cleanliness 5/5 would say the cleanliness in general is amazing got a tropical resort which normally have alot of challenges with insect, pest etc Parking 5/5 plenty of parking on both cluster

chose this resort to participate in the loy krathong/yipeng lantern festival! absolutely no regrets! big room with many amenities. the resort was organised and had clear instructions on where and how to go to the different areas within the resort/event area. will definitely come back again for a vacation with family and friends!
