Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Suites

Sandy Springs|2.17km from city center
I want to say that the five stars for this review are almost entirely because of the customer service we received from Brandon, who was working the front desk when we checked in and each night we stayed at this hotel. My boyfriend and I live in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and came to Atlanta for my birthday. I have been vacationing in Atlanta for years and this has always been my hotel of choice to stay at when I am there. This time, there was an issue with the first room we checked into and when we informed Brandon he more than compensated for the problem, including moving us to an upgraded room. I wish I could stop the review here but to do so would not be giving a fair and honest account of our stay. As previous recent reviewers have stated, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation/updating. The room we were moved to was very nice and the bed was so extremely comfortable that we wanted to take it with us. In fact we were so pleased with the customer service we got from Brandon that we ended up deciding to stay an extra night when we had only planned on staying one night. However, I did discover black mold on the ceiling above the toilet and water continuously dripped from the shower head in the shower, which I'm sure is costing a fortune for the hotel. The breakfast staff was super friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We also received two free drinks for my birthday and this is where I feel that I need to address what happened. When my boyfriend and I went to the hotel bar to redeem our drinks, the female bartender acted annoyed and immediately let us know without us asking that the drink coupons were only good for house wines, house liquors and domestic beer. There were a few hotel patrons sitting at the bar at this time. We ordered two house brandies and the bartender used a jigger to measure the liquor out for our drinks and discovered she was a little short on the second drink. She turned and asked me if that was okay to which my boyfriend asked her if she could just pour the little extra into one drink and then one of us would get something else, and we would even pay the difference. She was not happy with this, so much so that another customer asked her what the problem was to which she replied that we were getting ”free drinks”. I have been a bartender for the past 18 years and I'm still currently a bartender and talking about tips or how somebody is getting something discounted or free is something that you never do because it's unprofessional, especially talking to other customers about it. She ended up just embarrassing herself because before we came down from our room to get our drinks I had calculated a good tip for her and despite the incredibly rude service I still left the tip for her, which came out to a 25% tip if we were to have ”paid” for the drinks. Because she was speaking negatively about us to other customers-when we had never seen her before that moment-I felt the need to defend myself to the peopl

We were supposed to stay for a week, but checked out after the first night. Upon arrival at 5p (check in starts at 4p), we found a lobby full of waiting guests and were told that rooms were not ready yet. 2 hours later, we were finally checked in - at 7pm! The lobby still had at least 4 more families still waiting. The staff offered a measly ”sorry for the wait” but that was about it. No one was offered water or anything to drink, nothing to eat, etc while we waited for hours. In fact, one of the staff began complaining to her co-worker that she was going to quit the evening shift because she's tired of the guests being impatient and not understanding. Like WE were the problem. Hilton members who had used the app to check in were no exception. Still had to wait like everyone else. And nothing offered as compensation. When we finally did get to our room, it was pretty bad. The hotel is old and outdated, with stained carpet throughout the hallways, chipped furniture, dirty A/C units and gross bathrooms. Our room had a very strong, pungent smell of pinesol, lysol, and mold/mildew. It was so strong that both of us in the room got headaches after about an hour. Mine turned into a migraine. By morning, I was also stuffy and congested, mist likely from the mold they are obviously trying to mask with this disinfectant smell. Because we got into our room so late and many hotels in the area were unavailable, we stayed this first night but I had already booked another hotel for the rest of the week and we left by 7am. I went to the front desk to check out but no one was there & we had somewhere to be in the morning so I couldn't wait around. I decided I'd check out on the app and we left. The app wouldn't allow the check out since we were leaving 6 days early, so I tried calling the front desk. It went to voicemail so I left a message with my name, room number and the reasons we were checking out. I called 2 additional times that morning, both went to voicemail. After not hearing from anyone, I began dealing with Hilton customer service. It took Hilton 2 additional DAYS to reach someone and after leaving on Sunday, I finally received a receipt on Tuesday evening showing I had checked out 2 days prior. Still never heard from a live person from the hotel. This was an awful experience. We were there for 12 hours and were miserable every second of it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

This past weekend of July 28, 2023, I visited the uniquely cozy and welcoming Live/Stay property located in the Sandy Springs area of Georgia. Right outside of Atlanta. I seriously enjoyed my stay. It's in close proximity to the Perimeter Mall. Multiple metro rail stations. And cool eateries in strolling or Lyft distance. I love the courtyard. And the staff. They are resourceful and genuine. HARD WORKING TOO!! Front Desk Nazeema is warm. Very welcoming! So is Andre. He's funny! 😁 Maintenance guy was on his phone, but he was working I guess. Never made eye contact. Housekeeping ladies were great. Each one noticed me. I thought that was cool. AND THEN, there was Michael. The Houseman. He really made my day and the rest of the week that I'm having right now. When the morning came, I was down a bit about some personal stuff and outside, smoking cigarettes like stressing away. And here comes Michael, three trash bags, head on a swivel greeting a guest down the way from where I was sitting. Smiling like he was carrying cake. 😂😂 As he approached to walk past me, he stared right at me and said Great morning. I replied Good Morning. He then said, no, Great Morning. Because good is the enemy of great! We can all be good, let's be great! That hit me right in the chest. I've needed to hear that for years. I've paid high ranking people to teach me, but that some spoke volumes. He then continued to work, while still talking me, as I continued back to my room. As the next two days went by. I really appreciated what he said and how he said it to me. He was so soft spoken and innocent in his speech. It was like a humble giant, although he's an average height fellow. 😁 Really kind and inclusive. He reallly loves his coworkers. It's like it's not even work to him. It's like he's helping his sisters get things done. He'll run and jump for those ladies and he doesn't mind showing it. I wanted to tip him, just because he goes above and beyond, but he instead asked that I give it to a housekeeping member with a push cart instead. That in itself blew my mind. He said to me, rewards aren't for him, they're for the people who pay attention to the noise. He's just here to make people like me happy and comfortable while we visit one of Water Walks hidden gems in the home people like him have grown in, love, and cherish. I say that to say, it really broke my heart to see him talked to, yelled at, and stalked by some other coworker whom was clearly bigger and rude towards Michael. Michael was clearly defeated by this creep who wouldn't stop charging towards Michael. Had some lady whom was standing between them had not been there, that guy may have hurt Michael. And Michael was just telling the dude he was wrong. But the big guy had to be heard and he had to be loud. I wanted to step in and help Michael, but the guy was big. At least 5”11-6'1 , 220+ lbs. Michael's maybe, 5'7, 150+ lbs. Really broke my heart to see Michael attacked like that. Jabar, Jabbar, maybe Jamal is w

We were visiting family in Sandy Springs and since our boys are now teenagers, suite hotels are the lodging of choice these days.... Be advised: there are two Sonesta properties at Perimeter. The other is a hotel and only 5 minutes away. And you guessed it, we initially went to the wrong one. The good: Our unit was a 2 bedroom--a king/ bathroom in the master, and a queen/bathroom in the second bedroom, along with a sofa bed in the living room... The beds were very comfortable...the sofa bed was standard issue.... Flat screen TV's in every room.... It had a kitchen with pretty much everything you need, except it had only a 2 burner stove, and no real oven. But it had a full sized fridge, dishwasher and garbage disposal... The entire unit was spacious with plenty of closet space, plus a safe. And it was quiet--no freeway noise or other noises to keep you up at night. The grounds were decent, and the community area was a nice space with comfortable chairs. Breakfast was above average, and the nice lady preparing the buffet was friendly and seemed to take pride in her work. It's also pet friendly, though we didn't take our pooch on this trip. The bad (well, not all that bad): Bathrooms were a little rough--both bathrooms had your typical loose towel and shower curtain rods, loose toilet paper holders, bad paint jobs, marginal working bathroom fans, doors that didn't close nicely... Wi-fi didn't work in our room. Phone to the front desk didn't work either. The door to the master bedroom had some damage that was repaired rather haphazardly.... The door should've been replaced--they're not terribly expensive. No charger outlets, though there were plenty of regular outlets---bring your own chargers. There were some semi-permanent residents, which is not a bad thing in itself, but I did observe a few individuals out at night that made me a bit uncomfortable leaving things in the car overnight.... The pool area (empty due to cold weather) looked a little rough around the edges... When we checked in, the night clerk was a bit short with us, but eventually warmed up a bit... So, overall, if you need a suite hotel in the Sandy Springs area, this property is a decent option, despite the shortcomings.

Sandy Springs|2.34km from Heritage Sandy Springs Museum

In my opinion, the staff at a place can make or break your experience. In the case of this hotel, they definitely made the experience great!. I need to mention 2 in particular. First, Tyranee, she checked us in and is such a bright light in a world gone crazy. She was always pleasant and smiling and very, very helpful! Thanks Tyranee for being such a wonderful person! Next, and I didn't catch her name, is the lady that does the breakfast area. She was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and then some! Great job Holiday Inn Express on hiring a fantastic staff!

I arrived here last month Oct. My stay here has been amazing to me. I understand rooms arent always the best and staff can be a problem but throughout my stay here Ms. Andrea and Ms. Tiwanda have been more than just a helpful but made me feel welcome. No matter what my issues been, both have went over and beyond to assist me and im grateful for that. I really wish other hotel employees were nice, kind and patience like them. Ofcourse I feel like it could be better. Upgrade the rooms with stoves, maybe a different room look or more breakfast options. I do feel this hotel needs to upgrade the internet. Internet here been horrible and me being a college student I have missed assignments and sometimes I have to leave and go somewhere else for internet.

The hotel staff are so friendly that everyone they meet greets them and asks how they are. However, the breakfast menu is limited, so guests staying for a long time may get bored with breakfast. taste is good

The staff here have been so exceptional and accommodating. I want to specifically mention Ms. Edith. She has been so diligent in ensuring that our stay is comfortable. The rooms are clean and I haven't had any issues with rodents or roaches. The location is stellar, near EVERYTHING. Great prices. Thank you for being so wonderful, ESA Hammond Staff!

Although it is an old store, it is not bad. I saw a few people with guns, I thought about it...

Great location and a gorgeous property conveniently located on the outskirts of Atlanta… with easy access to the Perimeter Mall. From the friendly valet greetings and courteous reception staff (Kelly S.) everything was perfect during our stay. Compliments to the housekeeping staff… our room and the entire property is spotless. Great bar, super breakfast buffet and friendly staff… all for an unbelievably low price point. 5 Stars!!!
