This was our third time to stay at the Alte Post. It was its usual excellent self. It’s location is first class in the Main Street close to the Galzig and Rendl lifts. The food was excellent on the whole and the staff very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa were top class and spotless. The only thing I’d say by way of constructive feedback is that the rooms and public areas are now dated when compared to other hotels of this price and quality in the Alps. It definitely needs a refit in these areas. Nothing wrong with them but definitely dated when you compare them to the Post in Stuben or the Schwartzer Adler or Post in St Anton.

This was our second visit to the hotel for a short ski trip . The first time I bought my younger children aged 11 and 14 . This time my 19 year old .The hotel is very charming and is ideal as it is close to Intersport so it’s easy to store skis and boots there en route to slopes so all very easy . Cosy historic hotel, with lots of character , breakfast delicious with many choices and evening meal excellent food for foodies and 5 courses . The stars of the hotel were Tony ( Antonides) and Maurizio - both excellent waiters giving 5 star service and an absolute delight to be looked after by. We were treated like royalty . Will definitely come back ! Thanks to Maurizio and Tony for making our stay so wonderful !

A high quality hotel with a traditional look and feel. Our room (one up from standard) was warm, comfortable and spacious with a large bathroom. The breakfast and dinners were excellent (what a chef!), the serving staff couldn’t have been nicer or more keen to assist. The facilities we used include the ski room (well appointed and easy to use/get to the lifts), gym and the beautiful lounge and bar. The only suggestion for improvement would be the WiFi connection as it was rather hit and miss. We would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding from start to finish. The hotel is fabulous, the staff were great, and serious kudos for the food- a garden scene and fried ice cream for dessert- epic 😌 Thank you all for a wonderful stay, I can't wait till the next time we can come back :)

really good staff, location fantastic for both ski lifts and restaurants. But noisy outside so sleep was disrupted....

Stayed in this Hotel circa 1986 with some friends. One could not get any accommodation and ended up sleeping with a staff member on the top floor.... This time I brought 18 others, including my wife. Back in 1986 there was no pool and no Wellness Center. Seems new owners bought the hotel in 1992 and improved the hotel a lot while keeping its 'cute' atmosphere. We had dinners in a beautiful wooden room with 4 tables that accommodated all of us. Our Maître d' in the restaurant was superb, as were all other staff in the bar and front desk. The food and assortment at breakfast and the 7 course meals we had at night were all outstanding. Loved to be so close to the lifts. No need to wait on busses or having to take a taxi Wish I had time to write more. Can't wait to get back. This time I will not wait 36 years between visits!

The hotel, which presents itself with a beautiful Tyrolean structure, is in an enviable position in the center of St Anton, a few steps from the ski lifts. This also allows you to take some interesting walks, a short distance away there is the delightful Museum and other points of interest reachable on foot or thanks to a free public transport service. In addition to the very central location, the hotel has a particular and innovative cuisine (great Luca and his staff) with dishes and flavors worthy of a starred restaurant, undoubtedly the positive note of the hotel together with its very luxurious and comfortable common areas . I share the small concerns about breakfast (all a bit minimal) and about the lunch break (buffet from 14 to 17), which can be improved despite the very kind service. The swimming pool is pleasant, with a part dedicated to the little ones and a jacuzzi, but I have always found the water too cold to be able to fully enjoy it. The part of the saunas is dedicated to a clientele over 18 nudists, which represents a small limit. Almost the entire structure has carpet, as well as in the rooms with the exception of the bathroom, here to honor the credit very clean and well maintained. Fairly sized room, but where the edge of the bedside table was too close to the bed. I loved the mattress, a little less the pillow, which in reality, being huge, allowed it to be adjusted at will. Good choice of TV channels, wi fi can be improved. I believe that the superior added to the 4 stars is mainly due to the elegance of the structure and the cuisine, but in other 4 stars we have found the same comfort if not superior. I share the opinion that with small improvements it could really be an optimal hotel. The value for money is perfect, given that the customer is also honored with a summer card that allows various advantages including a full day of free ski lifts. One last note: it's a shame about the exaggerated price increases applied - at dinner - to wine and water (a bottle of natural at 6 € 20 seems a bit excessive, as well as almost all bottles over 35- 40 euros)
