Staff are very friendly & helpful, food is good & there is a wide selection, rooms are a bit dated but kept spotless. It is in a great location right on the beach front close to the town centre, excellent views if you book a sea view room, this was our 2nd stay at the Arenal & we will certainly be back.

Hotel staff are extremely friendly nothing too much hassle. Eva on reception was extremely friendly and very helpful on my arrival. She is a credit to the Hotel and Tourism in Ibiza. The hotel maybe a bit dated in the rooms but they are spotless. All areas of the Hotel are very clean. Buffet Dining with plenty choices and very fresh food. Night staff are also very helpful. Always visible at night and available. I was leaving early and was missing breakfast. Romeo who was night reception offerred me a coffee before leaving. I really never expected this. Although I declined it was a very nice touch. I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but the entertainment that I did see was pretty good. Would I return to this hotel ?

What a great hotel arrived at lunch time and was greeted by Eva the mad receptionist she was a fantastic start to a fantastic stay. Our rooms were not ready but our luggage was taken care of and we were pointed to the bar and given the opportunity to get a shower and changed if we wanted to. Eva is great fun and has good banter with all the guests she is a credit to the hotel. We were given a sea view room which we had not paid for, some describe the rooms as dated just because of the brown furniture, this is a little unfair as the rooms are spotless, comfortable and everything works. The view over the sea at sunset is unbelievable. The hotel is located right on the beech a few minutes walk out of San Antonio not too far from the nightlife, however once the windows are closed you cannot hear them. There is a bus stop outside the hotel with a good service to Ibiza Town. The rest of the staff seem to take their lead from Eva as all are attentative and very friendly. Food is excellent and plentiful. There is a good variation with a change of menu every, even the most faddy of eaters should have no problems. It is possible to buy a nice snack at lunchtime from the bar or the attached snack bar, prices are competing and the food is good. Prices in the bar are OK. To sum up food great, staff great, rooms great location great you do not need anything else.

Perfect couples break away! we arrived late evening due to air traffic control delays, the guy on the reception made our check in smooth and efficient, explaining to another man at the desk he would be with him once he had finished with us as we had just arrived and would be tired, I thought this was very considerate and we also landed a sea view room which I hadnt paid extra for! If you are thinking of booking here definitely pay the extra for the sea view it made our holiday so beautiful ! The view is amazing no matter what time of day you go out on the balcony, it’s just stunning and felt so special , one morning after a particularly heavy night and a crappy weather morning I laid back on my bed after breakfast with the balcony door open and dozed back off for an hour with the sound of the waves! The location of the hotel is perfect , right on the beach with ocean beach to your left and San Antonio to your right It’s an easy 15 min walk to the west end ( this bit I wasn’t keen on , a bit scruffy and loads of looky looky men with balloons) near if that’s your thing but if not it’s easy avoidable and there is plenty of pretty places to go instead A further 10min walk around the bay gets you to sunset ***** with cafe mambos and cafe del mar , we went up with cans from the shop and sat on the seating infont of the restaurants on the beach, it was beautiful and a cheaper way to experience the vibe without the price tag! Take a trip to Ibiza town again a very beautiful place and about €2.50 on the bus! The food at the hotel was nice always plenty of choice , drinks priced similar to English, wine a bit cheaper My only negative is the table situation in the restaurant, the tables are only separated by a 1 inch gap so there is no avoiding eye contact with the people next to you, they are literally on your table! On day 1 ask for a window seat , we did and they were quick to accommodate us as soon as one became available and we then kept this table for the duration of our stay which was perfect with a view of the sea and sunset on a night! The entertainment is spread over the two hotels , we enjoyed the rock singer at the sister hotel one night, ( get there early to bag a seat) we were too busy out and about to see any of the other entertainment The pool area was pretty small but never too busy so fit for purpose , no sunbed wars! The pool was freezing tho! I preferred the sea, but it’s so close you can walk between the 2 without moving your stuff! Overall I absolutely loved my time at hotel arenal and definitely want to go back one day to relive such a perfect holiday Oh if you want shiny shiny rooms book a five star hotel then you won’t need to winge about wooden wardrobes! The room was very spacious nice modern tiled bathroom cleaned everyday by friendly maids so perfect for us :) Thanks to all

Fabulous position, well worth booking sea view room. Friendly helpful staff, great food and plenty of choice. This really is a fabulous hotel, great size balcony, room and 4 piece shower room. Dining room at breakfast spoilt for choice and always fresh food on offer. Dinner choice, salads, meat course, fish and themed each night, even the fussiest person is well catered for. Will be back for certain, love it xxx

This was our first visit to Ibiza. The Arenal is a three star hotel, located on the beach in Sant Antoni about a 10 min walk to the centre of the town. Ibiza is well known for it hedonistic night life and Sant Antoni is very much apart of this scene. The hotel is of an older design, fixtures and fittings are solid and reflect the hotel’s age, the hotel is very well maintained. We were missing a towel hook in our bathroom, without any comment from us it was replaced during our stay. The hotel has good soundproofing and has strict policies regarding noisy guests. We found our hotel room quiet, although we did shut the balcony door at night. Seaview balconies are better as apart from the view the inland facing balconies face the busy road. The hotel attracts a range of guests but the largest group during our visit were British retirees, as we are! The rooms are large, in keeping with an older hotel, with plenty of storage. Rooms are serviced daily. TV with some UK channels. Rooms have AC and ceiling fans, no extra charge. All rooms have balconys, table and chairs and drying rack. Rooms have safes, €2 per day. No refrigerator, these can be hired, but cost €50 per week, for two weeks €100, you could nearly buy a new one for that! No kettles, we brought our travelling kettle and a small supply of UHT milk portions and tea bags. We used bottled water, on the advice of the hotel staff. Rooms are kept immaculately clean, as is the whole hotel. Bathrooms are large, large walk in shower, basin, bidet and large mirror. However not enough hooks or shelf space. Always plenty of hot water. Wifi is free, but not very good. In the swimming pool area, I could not get any signal, the hotel’s next door worked intermittently. In our room it worked most of the time, albeit fairly slowly. 4g and 5g mobile data was available on our networks, but the obvious data roaming limits apply. There are three swimming pools; a child's pool, a main pool that shelves from 0cm to 1.6m and an indoor pool. The main pool as plenty of sun-beds and umbrellas so no early morning rush to bag a bed. The rear terrace faces the sea and has tables and seating and a few more sun beds. This area backs onto the main promenade, beach and sea. The beach has sun beds and umbrellas, but these are not the hotels and cost €7 for each bed and umbrella, so €21 for a set for the day. €21 seemed to be the standard at most beaches, although we found one charging €50 and more! We had half board. The extra cost between breakfast and half board on our package was minimal. Breakfast consists of a range of everything from full english, continental, cakes, pancakes, even sparkling wine to make bucks fizz some days. Dinner changed daily and was on a weekly rota. Great choice of good quality food. I felt that new guests arriving at the restaurant were left not being greeted or acknowledged for too long and therefore didn’t know where to sit, all tables have room numbers.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days, in room 324 which had a balcony with a beautiful view of the bay of Sant Antonio de Portmany, where we had the best view of the Ibiza sunset!!! incredible!! The room was spacious, with a King Bed, whose mattress was very good! Modern, large bathroom with excellent shower. Every day the maid cleaned the room and cleaned the room. Cleaning was great. Helpful, polite and receptive staff! The only problem was the air conditioning that didn't work on the night of the first day, the night was very hot, however, the next day the maintenance service fixed it. We chose half board. The breakfast was excellent and so was the dinner! We sat at a table near the window and watched the sunset at night! Fantastic!!I The Hotel had a large swimming pool and a small exercise room with old equipment. It also had a recreation area and a closed heated pool. I am grateful for the attention of Mr. José Luis, at reception, who was always polite and provided wonderful tips about the Island! Anyway! We loved the hotel and Ibiza and would love to return to the same hotel! Very good experience!!

Pros: clean rooms, breakfast with a lot of choice, private parking. Cons: Very outdated hotel that really needs a big renovation. Beds are verry hard. Asked for a softer matrres but didnt get one. Pool situated at a busy and verry noisy street. Booked based on positive reviews. Its ok but not what i expected after reading all positive reviews. Not going back. Stayed in other 3 star hotels in Sant Antoni which were mutch better imo.
