We stayed one night while waiting to take a ferry, on the recommendation of friends in town.
The hotel is visually attractive, with a modern industrial design. It feels relatively new, and the grounds are large, with extensive parking and event spaces. There is a pool, although we did not use it.
The room was small but clean and functional. We had two proper single beds, which was appreciated. At around €105 per night (£95), the price felt broadly fair for the area.
However, there were several drawbacks.
First, the air conditioning did not work. Although it was February, the room was 25 °C. In a hotel of this category, climate control should function year-round. We had to open the windows, which only partially open, and it was uncomfortable to sleep. It is increasingly common in Europe for hotels to disable cooling seasonally, but if a guest has paid for a room, temperature control should not be optional.
Second, this is clearly an events hotel. When we arrived, very loud music from a function was playing. It did stop as promised later in the evening, but the risk remains: if there is a wedding or large event, noise may affect your stay.
Breakfast also disappointed. Sunday service ends at 10:30. We arrived at 10:30 and were told it was closed. The café alternative had almost nothing available. The formal breakfast costs €20 per person, which feels excessive at this price point.
Service overall was adequate but not especially attentive.
In summary, the hotel is aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced, but the lack of functioning air conditioning and the potential for event-related noise would make me hesitate to return.
