Haley Hotel

The Haley Hotel is a full renovated motel right in the center of downtown Santa Barbara. The location is excellent, it's a short walk to dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. The beach and much more SB attractions are only a few minutes further on foot. The hotel also offers free cruiser bikes which make navigation of all of SB a breeze (very bike friendly town). The courtyard of the hotel is amazing with a bunch of fun games, seating, mountain views, just a very nice vibe. The room was very clean and comfortable with access to some nice amenities like coffee/tea/snacks in the room and lobby. We loved this hotel but there are a few areas of improvement needed. The hotel's wifi simply didn't work. My wife had to do some remote work and when she asked about the wifi was told by reception 'I normally just use my phone instead'. They also refused to give us standard key cards and insisted that we use an app to unlock the room. This was a bit glitchy, particularly when trying to share the key with other user's phones. Also, being required to download an app with non functional wifi when you've been traveling all day and just want to enter your room... not great and another area where the receptionists weren't very helpful or friendly. We would totally stay here again, love SB! I just hope they address these little issues.

The wonderful coffee and pastries in the morning is so delightful. And the people are super friendly.

Hotel itself was so cute & clean. Amenities were great and fun! Location was excellent able to walk to State Street and right next to Funk Zone which is so cool. Went on wine tour in Santa Ynez and bus picked us up at the hotel. Staff was helpful but remember to smile :-) !

You have to pay for parking, of which I do not recall seeing on the reservation or website. Prices high in an area that was EXTREMELY loud until 3 in the morning. Will not return.

This hotel had an extremely cool and relaxed vibe. The room was very clean and really decorated very tastefully. The outside area was really nice, the games and the seating areas were very inviting. The bed was comfortable and all the extras were nice. The teas, waters and mints. We will definitely be coming back.

I arrived two hours before check in time. Room was ready but they wouldn't let me in unless I paid an early check in fee. Bed was very uncomfortable.

The location was great. One block from State Street action. Parking was easy but expensive. $20 for self service lot with no guard and little light. Hotel staff was snide and unfriendly, bordering on rude. Left a bad taste in our mouth. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable enough. No fridge in our room though when we booked, fridge was noted.

Very cute hotel. I do wish there was a pool or hot tub. Also maybe a spot in the bathroom to put your stuff. I had to put my toiletries bag on the floor. Also, the closeness of one of the lounge areas to the room was quite loud. I was there for a race and needed to get to bed. I think someone said something and they kindly moved. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.
