The front desk staff are very proactive, kind, and extremely responsive. Their customer service is outstanding. They went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The hotel amenities are exactly what I was looking for. It’s a nice place to stay with the family because of updated kitchen and cleanliness.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Santa Cruz - Capitola

My first Fairfield experience for just one night using my Platinum status with Marriott. The check-in was very pleasant and the staff on duty were indeed very nice and hospitable. Room was nice and spacious which made the family feel happy. Appreciated a bath tub in our 2 Queen Room. Parking was in a gated covered garage which felt very safe and secure. Loved the experience at the pool. Was a good size and very clean. Hot tub was a plus point. Gym was small but function for just a short stay. Breakfast the next morning was great. Exceed my expectations and they even had waffles!! Overall, a very good experience and would come back again in future.
Chaminade Resort & Spa

This resort/conference grounds is in a great location, and has extensive walking paths through the woods (make sure you know what poison oak looks like!). My husband and I like our longs walks so that part was nice, although the trails are not well marked. However, the room was very small---no place to sit except the bed--and smelled like very old funky carpet. For the price we were very disappointed in the room. Mini fridge was provided, but no microwave--very inconvenient not to be able to even heat up a cup of coffee. They offered to rent me a microwave for $15/day!! Seems very unreasonable, especially because the restaurant on-site was only open for dinner. Luckily town was only a 10 minute drive away. We also had a terrible experience in their supposedly ”nice” restaurant. Terrible service, food was bland, and when they brought our bill she handed us TWO tickets--she had rung up someone else's dinners on my credit card in addition to ours! Wouldn't you notice when you handed someone two credit card bills at one table? The staff did not seem very concerned about this at all (maybe they make mistakes like that frequently??). Very shabby treatment. I lived in Santa Cruz for 10 years some time ago, and I know the property has been there a very long time---they think the have a reputation as 'top-shelf' resort in the area, but I would definitely disagree.

The hotel is on the side of the road, very good to find, but the row of rooms we live in is still very quiet, the room is also very large, has its own parking lot, it is very convenient for self-driving, the price is relative to Large hotel chains are also very cost-effective
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

The breakfast is good, but you can do it yourself and eat well. The food in this type of hotel in the United States is similar. The sanitary conditions are also similar. There is a big public hot tub here, which reminds me of a science fiction film, you can try it if you like it! Bring a swimsuit.
