Like going back in time. The architecture and decor is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and all features have been updated without loosing the style of way back when. All the staff I encountered was so helpful, friendly and responsive. Each room is a bit different. I saw 3 as some of my relatives also stayed there. The bathrooms are very up to date and the beds are extremely comfortable. My only concerns: I stayed 3 nights and the 3rd night I could hear voices from another room well into the night. The second night it snowed and early (6:30am) the next morning I was awakened by someone clearing snow. I would definitely stay the again and I would recommend it to others.

Was a nice older motel with plenty of parking for all of our groups motorcycles and trailers. Price was decent, beds and other amenities were good. Surrounding businesses and restaurants were great. I'd stay again.

Mixed feelings about this place. The hotel itself is OK. Not really five star but nice. The rooms are small. Our room on the second floor looked out over and old air conditioner. When we asked to be moved, the staff told us “we are stuck between two buildings. None of the rooms have a nice view”. It feels like the hotel is working at 20% staffing rate. Couldn’t get an evening drink in the bar/restaurant. No seating. We had two breakfasts. One was great (the eggs done an way). The second was pancakes. They were OK but the maple syrup on the menu was replaced with pancake syrup. Not what you expect from a $400+ per night hotel. The maid service was outstanding. They carefully refreshed and organized our room. Room service was only available 8am-8pm. Again not what you expect for the $. Overall, I would not probably not stay there again. Feels a little like you are paying for what it used to be and not what it is today.

Eldorado Hotel and Spa

Stayed 2 nights for a meeting. Room was spacious but DARK, especially since 1 light bulb burned out and another blinking on/off. Called maintenance but nobody came. Bed was comfortable but the pillows flattened so much had to sleep on 3 of them. The lunches they served for the meeting were quite average (best part was dessert). Did not eat at the hotel restaurant or use the pool/spa. If you fly into the tiny Santa Fe municipal airport (SAF), be aware that there is NO public transportation or taxis. You will need to catch a ride via Uber or Lyft.

I returned again to this excellent property after a two year absence from New Mexico and I continue positively to be impressed with all that is offered for a decent value. The room I stayed several nights in was very clean, had working heat/fan/ac unit self modulated, spacious refrigerator, microwave, and SAT TV. The free breakfast is much better than the average fare for this motel level: regular or cheese omelettes are prepared to order. Parking is easy/safe and the location of this property along a major roadway is convenient for dining and shopping within a two block radius. The owners/managers Tapas & Amisha epitomize true hospitality as they (and staff) truly care about guests' comfort and satisfaction. This is the best value motel I have stayed at over many years of travel so highly recommend it.
