The breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is charming and the proprietors very accommodating. It is an easy walk to the waterfront and shops/restaurants. Our room was on the small side, but the balcony seating was welcomed. Note: If you are tall and broad shouldered the shower could be a challenge. Overall- recommend this hotel👍🏼

A small family run hotel with that personal touch that commercial hotels cannot match. Thoroughly recommend the roof terrace room that has enough space for 2 Sun loungers, small table and chairs and large outdoor bath tub with gazebo for ultimate privacy. You can see the sea but would not call a sea view. In land views are pretty. Access via steps and an incline so not ideal for the less able bodied.

Lovely and accommodating staff. Beautiful room and excellent full breakfast. Coffee and pastry bar that rivals any in town and lovely terraces. Highly recommend! Pricing was reasonable and well worth the cost.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Anita that was cut a bit short by an Italian rail strike. We were sad we had to leave one night earlier than planned (to avoid being stranded and unable to get to our next destination). Sandro, the owner of the hotel, took good care of us and helped us rework our travel plan. He was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful! Thank you, Sandro! The hotel is lovely and full of charm, just as Santa Margherita is. Our room was cozy, super-clean, and decorated nicely. The bathroom and shower were fantastic. The best part of our stay was perhaps the breakfasts! They're served in a gorgeous breakfast room and offer everything you could want: all sorts of pastries (croissants, brioches, etc.), breads, jams, cheeses, meats, even delicious frittatas -- and more. We hope to stay at Villa Anita again, on our next trip to Italy. Ciao!

Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel. The breakfast was amazing. Have traveled all over Europe and this was by far the best. Had a massage in the spa on a rainy day. Perfect. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

This hotel is amazing. Our room was very clean and the a/c worked great. The location is perfect and it is a 2 minute walk to the main stretch. The breakfast is by the far the best my wife and I have ever had. The staff is incredible and sat us down right at check-in to give us recommendations and even called multiple restaurants to make us reservations. The owner and her son were so incredibly nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here!

This is a gem! Perfect for traveling with a teen…rooms with an attached sleeping area that can be closed off. The hotel I very well located in a quiet area up from the harbor. Lovely rooms, gardens, views. Waterfront and restaurants nearby. Delicious breakfast. But best all…the staff! And owner Sandro and his mother could not be more helpful guides to all that is wonderful in the area. Skip the Portofino tourist trap….stay at the Villa Anita. And thanks to Rick Steves for sending us there!

Small hotel just up the hill from the harbor, the hotel is charming, clean and welcoming. We felt comfortable and safe. The breakfast was magnificent and the welcome drinks were delicious. Would stay again
