Hotel Don Pepe was a beautiful experience for our family. The hotel itself is stunning and in a perfect location. Quiet but close to the beach, restaurants, and the lively parks and squares of Santa Marta. The staff were incredibly kind, accommodating, and thoughtful. We were travelling with our 8-month old and they made us feel right at home. We strongly recommend a stay at Don Pepe for anyone traveling to Santa Marta.

My wife and I had a terrific time staying at Hotel Don Pepe for 3 nights last week. Don Pepe is an oasis in Santa Marta as it is the former home of a wealthy gentleman ( Don Pepe!) and his large family vs a commercial hotel chain (while Don Pepe gets the name recognition, the real hero was his wife who produced so many children). This makes it a very special find for those who enjoy the taste of an authentic refined experience. - If you want a trendy (“ bougie” ) contemporary type of hotel to be seen/ check out others this is not it. The rooms were clean, cool, and updated (we stayed in 2 different rooms in order to help accommodate another guest). Beds and linens were very comfortable. The staff were courteous, helpful, and sincere. The small pools were cooling/ relaxing. The location is proximate to everything. Santa Marta is a city where most non Colombian tourists will visit in order to take a day-trip either to the mountains by car and/ or to the beaches by boat vs wanting to hang-out in the city itself. We did both of these day-trips. Specifically, we had a terrific experience with going to the small mountain town called Minca for a coffee, chocolate, eco tour, and we took a snorkeling and beach trip the following day ( the front desk at Don Pepe knows who are the better tour operators). Guasimo is a top end restaurant that is 3 blocks away that requires some planning to get a reservation (the front desk at Don Pepe can arrange this). A special shout-out to Edgar who served us breakfast every day and to both the front desk managers. - Gracias.

Was a nice stay. Right in the center of Santa marta. It helps to visit but also go to restaurants at night without having to grab a taxi. The place is cute. Don't forget to go upstairs to watch the best sunset.

Amazing service from all the staff at Don Pepe! Edgar makes the best drinks! Front lobby staff was lovely and always made sure everything we needed was taken care of (“NO” was never an answer). Really enjoyed my deep tissue massage at the rooftop spa. Front gate to the hotel is controlled by the staff which makes it a very safe place to stay. Love how the history is rich at Don Pepe and you can find antiques as popular decor. After my pleasant stay, I wouldn’t choose to stay anywhere else in Santa Marta.

If I could rate higher than a 5 star, I would! The customer service is some of the best I’ve ever seen. My fiancé and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here during our stay and they set up a beautiful romantic private dinner on the rooftop with rose pedals and flowers. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The location was perfect and central. The hotel also made it so easy to line up private transfers ton Tayrona national park and the airport. We enjoyed santa Marta more than Cartagena and it was mainly because of hotel Don Pepe!

This was my second stay at Hotel Don Pepe, and I was once again impressed and pleased with all the hotel had to offer. Every facet of the experience was an overwhelming positive; from the cleanliness of the facilities to the friendliness of the staff, I could not imagine a more welcoming situation. I have visited hotels in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Hotel Don Pepe provides the most pleasant hotel experience which I have encountered in all my trips across the world. With so many positives, if I were to chose one characteristic to place at the top of the list, it would be how accommodating, welcoming, helpful, friendly, polite, and enjoyable I found the entirety of the hotel staff to be. This includes all members at all levels of employment with which I had interactions. Hotel Don Pepe and it's staff provide for the most positively divine and relaxing stay of any hotel at which I have ever been a guest. If you aren't booking your next stay at Hotel Don Pepe, then you aren't just denying yourself the best Colombia has to offer, but you are robbing yourself of the most impressive hotel experience you would ever know.

Honestly, one of the best boutique hotels that my wife and I have ever stayed at! We truly enjoyed Hotel Boutique Don Pepe from the moment we stepped in the door. Amazing and friendly staff, incredible food, comfortable and spacious rooms... there's just so much to gush about. My wife and I also had a 3 hour couples spa day with body scrub, facial, and massage. By far and above also the best massage we've ever had with the most incredible and friendly masseuses. I do forget their name unfortunately as I took a while to write this but they were both amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Please give them a raise! Special shout out to the ladies at the front desk for going above and beyond and helping us with restaurant reservations at the last moment as well (we didn't have any). The best part about all of this is that the hotel didn't know that my wife and I run a very successful business. It is refreshing to see how well they treat every client without knowing who they are or what benefit they could get out of it. They certainly deserve every award that they've won. We will definitely be back and i'll also be sending my clients!

Hotel Don Pepe is definitely a touch of luxury in the middle of historic Santa Marta. While this isn’t directly on the beach, it’s 2 minute walk to the main beach promenade. Additionally, it’s incredibly close the main pedestrian activity of the town. I’d say the winning feature of the hotel is the incredibly attentive service and how friendly the staff was. We stayed here for 5 nights and were certainly sad when we needed to leave.
