Hotels near Sala Infantas in Santander

This was a great little find! We stayed at this hotel on a Wowcher deal and couldn’t be more impressed. It’s everything you need for a couple of nights away. Room was spotless and bed were comfy! The supermarket across the road was perfect for snacks! There are plenty of nice restaurants in the local area to walk too if you don’t want to go into Santander. The sports bar across the road is perfect for an afternoon beer! Easy to get into Santander … we hired a car but also got Taxis in the evening.

Just got back from a lovely 7 night stay at Hotel Bahia. We booked the holiday package through Brittany ferries. Our room on the 5th floor lovely and quite and had the most fantastic view looking out to the sea and mountains. The Room was a good size with tv, fridge with complementary water, lovely big walk in shower, could have done with a kettle but we took our own. Breakfast was included in our package plenty to choose from the buffet. The staff on reception where very helpful if you needed anything. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants and a bus ride to the beaches. There's restaurant and cafe bar at the hotel, the staff are all really lovely especially Britana who always looked after us in the bar (not sure if l spelt her name right) apologies if l haven't. We eat in the hotel restaurant a couple of times food a bit pricey but nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for exploring Santander.

Brand new structure (opened at the end of July 2022) in a suburban area near the busy Santander ring roads. Spacious, colorful and very pleasant common areas, friendly and welcoming staff even if the very young age betrays on occasion the lack of experience. Room not very spacious and rather basic with the idea, as scenic as it is uncomfortable, of the shower in the center of the room and only the toilet in a very small separate space. Going to the bathroom you can experience the same experience as astronauts in a Soyuz. Good soundproofing but occasionally a few sirens are heard. The rest, however, was perfect and the beds were also comfortable. It was difficult to find it despite google: the entrance is in a secondary street where, however, there is no sign; it would be enough to add an indication to signal the entrance. We did three laps (of the ring roads and holy navigator!) Before figuring out where the entrance was. There is also a bus stop just a stone's throw away. Free private parking around and under the structure but I don't know if there is enough space for all guests. Very problematic air conditioning: there are thermostats in the room but they do not work or are not enabled, so the air is managed room x room by a panel at the reception to which we had to ask three times to turn it on, then lower it and finally turn it off x night because noisy and annoying given the small size of the room. Very negative We didn't try the breakfast but all in all it seemed like a good point of reference for a stop & go near the airport where actually there are not many alternatives in Santander while I would not recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Surely the young management has some points for improvement but the structure is of a good standard

From the outside the hotel doesn’t look like much but the interior more than makes up for it. Welcomed very nicely by staff and was easy to find our room. Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

We stayed in a middle-pension, as last time; however, and despite being one of our favorite hotels, we were disappointed that during dinner the bottle of wine was not left on the table ( this time we served white wine from a bottle of hot and starting) With regard to posters, no variety: First day, Macedonian fruit or fruit and second day, flan from cheese . Nothing to do with the previous time. If you continue so, the middle pension does not deserve the value.

Very friendly staff. Smooth check in. Room is very modern and clean. Ample lighting and plenty of electric outlets. Conveniently placed in town center. Nice restaurant by reception. Reception closes at midnight, but guest have access to come and leave 24hrs a day. Make sure to check in before reception closes.

Having stayed six times at this hotel dating back to 2015 we decided to stay again as we wished to be near Sardinero. We have not experienced any of the issues identified by previous reviewers in any of these visits, in fact quite the opposite, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were in decent shape and always large. The price was high but for the luxury of a senior suite I was prepared to pay over the odds. On arrival we were told that no senior suites were available and we had been upgraded to the Imperial Suite. Sounds good, but here the good news ended Issue 1 the whirlpool bath didn’t work. Reported to reception and was quickly attended by the maintenance man who after breaking the tile to access the motor reset fixed the problem! Issue solved - nope. It lasted 20 minutes and then tripped all the electric. On reporting to reception the switch was reset but no whirlpool bath. Ok, we’re not here for the bath and having been offered a move the next day at 12 noon we decided to stick with the room as otherwise it appeared ok. Issue 2, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. It wasn’t so warm anyway so we tolerated this. Issue 3, at around 5 am it became clear there was multiple pigeons roosting in the roof space above the bed therefore couldn’t sleep until they stopped making noise. Should have moved but we are quite tolerant. Issue 4, around noon time the noise from the AC was so load we had to trip the electric breaker to stop it. Again we should have moved. Issue 5, on night 2 we were again awake for a significant period because of the lift continually moving even in the middle of the night. Issue 6, on night 3 again the lift was not moving up and down almost constantly. This seems to be the overnight cleaner moving items to the storeroom, and guess where this is, next to our room 601. I politely asked receptionist to ask the cleaner to stop and she said he was going home now so it would be ok. She couldn’t move us as there were no other rooms available. On approaching the hotel director the next morning she was aware of all the issues even knowing that the lift was noisy and kept people from sleeping. I was offered a free breakfast which I refused purely because there is no soap in the toilets and this is being used by waiters and chefs to prepare and serve food. After much argument I was told they would refund me the last night stay, still not received it though. All bored by now no doubt. This hotel had deteriorated badly in the 7 years we have visited. There are so many easy fixes to make it better but nobody seems to care. Lights don’t work - replace bulbs AC noisy - stop it vibrating Bath doesn’t work - either replace the motor or borrow from another room given the Imperial suite is the best room in the house Lift - get an engineer Noise - stop the cleaner working all night making noise No soap - buy soap The list is endless, we won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either. We stayed at this warm and quaint posada for one night during our Camino del Norte hike on June 2, 2020. The host was attentive, very accommodating and was incredibly generous with his time in helping us navigate the Spanish dinner menu. The location was perfect however keep in mind there isn't a supermarket or bar close by so ensure you bring whatever food or drinks you might need if not arriving by car. Fortunately we had some snacks with us and enjoyed a picnic on the grounds of the property. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We have stayed numerous times at this hotel on our return to the UK by ferry....the hotel is always clean with good twin rooms and ensuite; the rooms may not be the most spacious, but very acceptable for an overnight stay. Very friendly reception staff and car parking both open and closed but under surveillance. Close to some restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk to the main shops alongside the sea. Pet friendly. Breakfast is good. Charges apply to parking and pets!
