I will definitely be back!!! I almost got scared away by the bad reviews before going, but I don't know where those came from?! I booked two nights at Wentao Pavilion, and it gave me such wonderful memories. It's truly a hotel I love, the immersive vacation vibe is just perfect! An old Ferrari is indeed a Ferrari. If I'm spending money, I'd rather spend more and stay a few more nights at the Wentao Pavilion of Mandarin Oriental Sanya.

For my four-night stay in Sanya, I chose to spend two nights at the Mandarin Oriental's Ocean Breeze Pavilion. The view was truly breathtaking – unique and unparalleled. Opening the French windows to the sound of waves crashing was incredibly therapeutic. The window view transformed with the sunrise and sunset, like a beautiful scene from a game's CG. The beef noodle soup at breakfast was delicious, and the concierge and shuttle services were always prompt and responsive when called. I especially want to commend our butler, Jessica, for her exceptional thoughtfulness, understanding, and comprehensive service, which truly enhanced our trip. I'll definitely choose to stay at the Mandarin Oriental again on future visits to Sanya.

Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and thoughtfully laid out, making for a very convenient stay. The room design is also very practical. Cleanliness: Absolutely spotless. Environment: The public areas are incredibly beautiful, perfect for photos, especially in the morning when the sea is like glass and there are fewer people. Service: The service is excellent and definitely matches the price point.

Hotel Public Areas: The scenery is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views at every turn, perfect for photos. There are coconut groves everywhere and various cute statues that are great for pictures. Hotel Service: The staff member Jessica provided excellent and incredibly thoughtful service. First, she was always available; any request we had, whether for items like towels or toothpaste, was addressed immediately. Second, she handled unexpected situations very promptly and effectively. For example, when other guests accidentally entered our outdoor area, Jessica immediately helped us resolve it by arranging a room change and reassuring us, making us truly feel at home. She also assisted with booking hotel activities. After snorkeling in the morning, I realized I had pushed myself too hard and wanted to cancel the afternoon paddleboarding session. Jessica promptly handled that for me too; she is truly attentive and reliable! The snorkeling was particularly fun, and the instructor was very patient and excellent! Hotel Photo Shoot: The hotel photo shoot turned out amazing, and the photographer was very professional, guiding our poses and finding great photo spots. I highly recommend doing a hotel photo shoot because some of the best spots are not obvious to first-time visitors. The photographer led us to all the best locations. The staff member who helped with photo selection later (I forgot her name) was also very helpful and didn't push for excessive purchases, offering many professional suggestions. Overall, the shoot was enjoyable, we had a great time, and it left us with wonderful memories. In summary, I particularly want to commend Jessica from the hotel staff and the hotel's photo shoot service; both are highly recommended.

The room view was unbeatable, with a private courtyard right outside the balcony, and the beach just across a small path. The room facilities were a bit dated; the shower leaked a little, and the AC duct sometimes made strange noises. I hope they can be better maintained. The shuttle bus was sometimes slow, so it's best to call for it in advance. The most satisfying part of this stay was the service from our housekeeper, Alaia. She contacted us a day before check-in and was always responsive to our requests during our stay!

The hotel's public areas are quite beautiful, with a Southeast Asian vibe. However, not a single staff member, from top to bottom, had good service. From the moment we checked in, I asked the staff to send something to our room, but it still hadn't arrived by evening. I had to ask again before it was finally delivered. The pool closes at 10 PM, which is far too early. The shuttle service is incredibly slow; there are only three shuttles operating for a hotel with hundreds of rooms. We were desperate waiting, and one shuttle driver was just messing around on their phone. There were mosquitoes in the room and a spider on the desk! The hygiene is appalling! It's nowhere near as good as Capella, where each building always has a shuttle on standby. Very disappointing experience, I won't be staying here again.

The hotel's ambiance is truly exceptional, exuding a distinct 'old money' charm. Unlike the newer, trendy influencer hotels, it's not overcrowded, and the greenery is superb – vast coconut groves provide excellent privacy. My favorite spot was the crescent-shaped beach with its incredibly clear water. What I was most satisfied with this time was Elena's service. In the past, I've felt that hotel butlers were more of a formality, but Elena is truly different: 1. **Quick Response Time:** Whether it was arranging an extra bed or asking about restaurants, her replies were always prompt. 2. **Understands Guests:** She's not intrusive, but she's always there when you need her. 3. **Attention to Detail:** On check-in day, she even thoughtfully gave us a welcome gift. That feeling of being valued was really wonderful. I highly recommend connecting with Elena; your experience will definitely be elevated! I'll likely choose this place again next time I'm in Sanya. 🌴✨

The hotel's public areas are absolutely stunning! It really feels like a vacation, and the sea is like a clear jelly. The complimentary travel photoshoot by Bojue Travel was also great; the photographer had a wonderful attitude and was very patient with directing poses, resulting in some fantastic shots! Photo selection was also quite flexible, with no hidden fees. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but still acceptable. They even helped decorate for our anniversary. We stayed on the first floor of the Seaview Pavilion, and stepping out the door brought us right to the sea – the views were incredible! My only regret is that, perhaps because it's the off-season, the largest pool and slides were under maintenance and closed. I was really looking forward to using them! 😭

Jeff provided warm and responsive service. The hotel rooms were comfortable and spacious, with great bedding, and kept very clean. The environment felt reassuring. With thoughtful service and a comfortable setting, it's an excellent resting stop during a long journey.

Mandarin Oriental is my favorite hotel in Sanya. It feels more like a resort than Capella and Edition, and its beach and public areas are also better. The biggest surprise of my trip was my butler, Elena. While every luxury hotel has a butler, it often feels like a routine service these days, beyond just helping with room upgrades. From the moment I arrived until I left, Elena not only provided high-quality service but, more importantly, offered a truly personalized level of care that I didn't experience at other hotels. The hotel is great, but the butler was exceptional.

Really nice hotel with unique exotic villa-style accommodation and a beautiful garden. The seaside swimming pool is a big highlight, offering stunning ocean views. I have visited here before, and Alex provided thoughtful service and took good care of my requests. Dinner at Fresh Restaurant during sunset was absolutely amazing too, and all the staff there are very accommodating. Just two gentle tips: The pool area often has photo sessions going on, which can be noisy and disrupt guests’ privacy. Also, hope the hotel can arrange a chair and fan for the ice cream vendor by the pool, as he stands working the whole day. Highly recommend this place, looking forward to my next visit

The butler, Alaia, was incredibly responsive to all our requests. Jeff from the front desk kindly brought us water, and Ms. Maggie handled our check-out very swiftly and professionally. It was a fantastic experience overall! Plus, Grace provided excellent service.

The hotel boasts exclusive access to Coral Bay, making it incredibly convenient for getting around – a perfect location! As a seasoned luxury hotel, the environment and facilities are very comfortable. There are many activities available within the hotel, including snorkeling, and the beach is right at your doorstep, not far from the sea. Although it was almost fully booked during our stay, it never felt crowded. The hotel truly delivers on the vacation vibe. While the rooms do show some age, they are very comfortable, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night was peaceful, not noisy. The breakfast was abundant, delicious, and offered a wide variety of choices. Overall, it’s a fantastic hotel for a vacation, and the views alone are definitely worth a special trip. My only minor complaint was the long wait during check-in, and the lobby didn't have air conditioning. It would be best to confirm check-in times with the front desk beforehand to plan your itinerary. All in all, I was extremely satisfied and would definitely come back to experience it again.
