We stayed in Emiliano in pre-pandemic times and considered it a perfect hotel for a city stay. Just for the sake of it, if I want to think what else to wish them to do for the rooms and from the point of view of service and I can’t figure it out. And it isn’t easy to get me to say something like this. So, this time when we had to spend less than 24 hours in Sao Paulo and even landing in GRU after midnight we decided to spend about 1 hour to get to Emiliano and 1 hour back next day rather than staying in any of the hotels close to the airport. Their rooms and service are worth it and we were sure we will have a good rest before hitting the road again. We were wrong about the rest. After usual check-in procedures were finished, the receptionist suddenly told us: “yes, and one more thing: tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. there will be noise, we are renovating the spa”. It didn’t promise anything good, but, OK, there are different types of noise and there was nothing we could do standing in front of Emiliano reception at nearly 02:00 a.m. anyhow. Exactly at 11:00 a.m. next morning mayhem started. Not just some noise. It was breaking the walls with the whole building shaking. Not possible not only to sleep, work (and I do need to do some work on a computer every morning), impossible to stay in a room. Forget about further resting (and we had a couple more hours). Of course, every hotel needs regular renovations to keep up its level. But if you are planning works of this magnitude – choose a low season time, close down for couple of weeks, give you employees their vacations and break your walls as much as you wish. Or at least have enough decency to put information about works pending or going on your site. This is what hotels respecting their guests and themselves normally do. And then everyone can make their own decision. The schedule of works going on in Emiliano are from 11:00 to 17:00. If someone knows that he/she will not be in the hotel during these hours – of course, they will book regardless, since the works will have no affect on them. While if someone else, like us, is planning to be spending some daytime in the hotel and they need to be in Sao Paulo exactly at a time coinciding with the works – they can just book another hotel for this stay. No hard feelings. We paid USD 400+ for a Deluxe room, not even for a Suite (Emiliano is far from being cheap, but before it was worth it), we were looking forward and were planning to unwind in between not the easiest of flights and what did we get? Just for the sake of justice on the day we stayed there I visited Emiliano’s site to make sure there is no announcement of these works that I missed. There was not. Only lengthy promises to take care of all details of anyone’s stay. Right.

The location of this hotel is really convenient. When there is nothing to do on the weekends, I go around. There are many restaurants to choose from. I ate a Japanese restaurant and the dishes are basically localized. The owner created a new drink because it is pink. It’s also rare that the boss tried hard to talk to me in English and recommended it. I tried it and it tasted really good. There is a carrefour about 5 or 600 meters away. I remembered that my local colleagues recommended local milk to me, so I bought some local milk and fruits. It’s very fresh; the hotel’s breakfast menu is a little bit more, but the ingredients are what I value most. In addition, one day I worked overtime and returned late. I was so hungry that I tried this eight-catch fish in the hotel restaurant. I don’t know what to do in the alleys. When I ask questions in the circle of friends, everyone’s brains are open...

Ten stars! The Ca' D'Oro is like staying at a St. Regis in the middle of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The highlights: Wonderful, personal staff, who remembered and remarked I was a repeat visitor, and gave me a room with a spectacular view in recognition of the loyalty. Spotless, gloriously-quiet and well-designed rooms, something that is a rarity in São Paulo. Lovely common amenities, including a library space and a really nice rooftop pool. Breakfast is also excellent, and very good quality. But best of all is the location - who are all these drab people saying the area isn't nice? It's one of the coolest areas of São Paulo, smack dab in the middle of downtown/Higienopolis (with fantastically hip restaurants, cafés and shopping) and Paulista (which is convenient for touristy things), close to the metro L4, which gets you anywhere in the city in no time, and in a quiet part of Rua Augusta, which has bars, restaurants, and some of the best nightlife in Brazil. Parabens, Ca' D'Oro!

For those who are looking for a hotel in the centre of SP, this may be an option, but don't leave to stay without prior reservation, the value of the balcony is extremely high. For 1 night, I probably do, but I don't recommend it for longer. In fact, it was a room played with unnecessary kitchen furniture and a huge refrigerator I don't know why. It was a kitchenette, and on the equipment only a microwave, a coffee machine for capsules and toaster. In the place of the kitchen plate, the VASH is inserted and there are no pots, so you can't cook anything. Why then a huge refrigerator? I was sure that the kitchen appendix with kitchen equipment is the possibility of making your own meals. If I knew there would be no cooking option, I would rent a hotel with breakfast option!! :( Apartment for 2 guests, and only 1 blanket and this BEZ wool. Low hygienic (sweeping blankets after each client?). Total Unsealed window. It was 2-czesteel, closing one page, opening the other. Effect? The street noise is unbearable. In addition to that cold and rainy outside + 1 blanket for 2 people = I frost and I have a cold! In the bathroom, a small tap at the washing machine, which still has water around everywhere, and there was nothing to clean. Imagine how it looked after a few days of using by 2 people. 1 small shampoo for 2 people, for 3 nights, that is, as if it wasn't. If you don't provide it, remove the 'free cosmetic set'. The porter who did not speak English and it was difficult to agree to check in and access. Our passports were taken out of our eyes = unacceptable! We had a long journey from Europe, after we were tired - it would be extra if there were at least a bottle of water and 2 coffee capsules in the room. Apartment other than the picture (offer from booking.com). On the plus that it was bigger than the offer, but no sensible play, which makes you feel tight. Nice view Netflix TV (you have to have your account) Modern interior pool, but as a summer attraction well equipped gym

I admit I was a little scared when I saw the thousands of reviews note 10 here and arrived at the hotel. VERY careful and sympathetic officials. From the cabinets to the reception, all very educated and sympathetic. The hotel is reasonable and only. The bedrooms are old, the rooms are poorly careful, but everything works perfectly. I stayed in block 2 where there is no lift and several stairs, but even access to block 1 is provided by stairs. Breakfast is not exceptional, just with basic: bread, coffee, milk, butter, juice, cheese, 1 cake and fruit. The location is bad. 15 minutes walk to the Square of Liberty. There are other better options for the same price and much closer. The hotel is close to the hotel and there is nothing good to eat. For 1 or 2 days if you are in business and you're just going to sleep, it's a good option. If you're going to stay more days in family or tourism, it's probably better to consider other options.

Secure - I did not feel at any time as if myself or property would be compromised. Situated -The location is perfect to Liberdade central with Metro stations - Sao Joaquim or Japoa Liberdade all within (8 mins) a walkable distance My acknowledgments go to FRABRICIU (Manager),MAKOTO and JOAS. They were always approachable, courteous and attentive. There are many other staff members all very helpful.

As they say: You generally know what you will get when you opt for an Ibis Hotel. The hotel is centrally located. You have quick access to public transportation, a 24 hour store across the street, a mini-fridge, excellent AC, a tv with CNN in English and a French channel. The breakfast was excellent. Each day had some different cold and hot options. They had gluten free bread as well. In our case, the room was immaculate and the staff cleaned it well all week. Where we were not as thrilled is that we were told that it was a king size bed but it is barely a queen size bed. In terms of toiletries; it is the minimum. We would have appreciated more than 2 towels since I used them on top of the cardboard pillows. Other Ibis offer courtesy water bottled when you arrive. But this one did not even have glasses. I was surprised that there was nobody who spoke English at the front desk. We needed a doctor and it was a young guest of the hotel who helped us. To top if off, our luggage were lost so we were trying to tell them to let us know as soon as they arrive. We finally checked in. Google translated it and brought the translation downstairs. We might be wrong to expect English to be spoken but we have been all over the world using Accor and never had that problem.

The bathroom is tiny, the floor bedroom has cracks that move when walking, the sheets are threadbare, there are few electric outlets and the room even had some mound in it which was not nice. Unfortunately, during the night there was a lot of noise (inside and outside the hotel).

I made a reservation for 123 Miles, it was the most economical, they sent the confirmation of the reservation on the email, but the voucher did not come, it was the one I asked for whats. I contacted the hotel in advance (email and whats, the latter is faster) to confirm the reservation and inform the time I would arrive. Check-in was very fast and the reception staff were very careful. A very large room, a large bed, with a door brake, safe, fridge, air conditioning, TV, many takes, drinks and salts for you to buy, banked to work, space to keep clothes, a large mirror (very good to see the outlet look). Great experience.
