Craveiral Farmhouse by Belong

Lovely experience at this peaceful property. Extra special attention from a very welcoming staff. A shoutout to the manager Lykke, who was absolutely great & very generous. The breakfasts were among the best we’ve have in Portugal! Love the fresh produce & the well made coffees. We especially enjoyed the saunas. And our personal fire in the cottage. The rooms were nicely appointed & comfortable. Housekeeping was also very good. The rooms were spotless. All in all, recommend for a long weekend or quiet getaway!

This eco-friendly, circular economy driven hotel is worth a visit. The staff was super friendly, and the grounds were quite and peaceful. Breakfast every morning, sauna & indoor pool, Hot Tub open, set aside from the hustle & bustle of Lisbon or the Algarve, but right between the two. I would highly recommend grabbing a group of friends and staying for the weekend. I would also say that we had a family wedding here, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful location or wonderful setting.

The place is very cute and cosy, the heated indoor pool and sauna are a great thing to have and the room is more than adequate and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a few nice vegan options, but the workers didn’t know which ones were vegan, making it more difficult for us. My advice would be to tag the vegan things as it’d make it easier for everyone. The animals there are very beautiful and cute, they have space to roam around, but I have to say that as a vegan I am very dubious about where they end up, having the feeling that they are all just being exploited for profit in a smart way, later being sent to the slaughterhouse just like any other. So be aware of that. I could feel that the place tried to portray an alternative progressive and eco-friendly vibe that it didn’t really believe in but simply invested in as it’s good for business. So for people who want to be in a place who truly cares, I unfortunately don’t think this is the one.

We have just had the most wonderful stay. The farmhouse is just gorgeous, the setting, grounds and rooms are stunning - everywhere you look you are surrounded by nature and it is so peaceful. The food was exceptional - healthy, fresh, delicious. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the menu is vast. I am also gluten free and the kitchen were so accommodating - they even made me fresh pasta as I ordered. Most of the food is grown onsite - it’s a great concept. We had massages and did horse riding along the coast - both were amazing. The pool areas are so calming - I love how everything is connected via decking, you really feel at one with nature. We had our dog with us and the whole resort is so dog friendly… he was really welcome everywhere and we loved it! I love the WhatsApp service too - you communicate with reception via WhatsApp and they will sort what ever you need - amazing! Thank you to the whole team for such a brilliant stay :)

The best hotel experience I've ever had, honestly. I stayed in Craveiral 3 times during this year, and it was an incredible experience every time. Feel close to nature but with all the necessary facilities to live a comfortable life: well-designed apartments, cork bath, smeg kitchen appliances to cook a dinner for your family. There is a restaurant in the hotel with delicious food that is based on farm products both from the hotel's farm and local producers. Moreover, the hotel is located 20 min from the ocean and you can reach amazing beaches to jump into the ocean or watch a sunset. The team of the hotel is incredibly pleasant and happy to help you with any issue. They even bring the bed for my dog! To sum up: it's my favourite place in Portugal.

Beware of this establishment's unethical practices! When checking out, I discovered they had attempted to overcharge me by double for food and drinks. After confronting them, they reluctantly corrected the bill, which I then paid. The owner, Pedro Franca Pinto, then took it to a new level of unprofessionalism by sending me threatening emails after I'd already paid the corrected bill. It's clear they have a defensive and dishonest attitude when confronted about their overcharging tendencies. I can't help but wonder if they've been pulling the same stunt with other unsuspecting customers. Definitely not the place to stay if you value honesty and respectful customer service!

Sorry, 5 star prices for 3 star accommodation. Scruffy communal area, our house was in slight disrepair, ant infestation in the house, food expensive. Boarded plank areas are fun for cycling but do not walk in bare feet as the screws could tear the soles of your feet. Perfect if you are a young family, but for us, just fraught with young kids. Not relaxing. Needs money spending on it to justify the prices to tidy it up. Plus point: lovely pools, nice staff, good breakfast.

Craveiral is a special place. Situated in the countryside, with easy access to the coast and sea, it is like a combination of a boutique hotel with an organic farm. It is very quiet there (except for the odd donkey or goat bloating) and well organised, with free bicycles to roam around the property. Staff are friendly and helpful and lend a personal touch. The food in the restaurant is excellent, with open air barbecue and fresh produce from the gardens. There is a nice heated indoor pool and a small sauna. It is popular with families but this never bothered us during our stay (and the indoor pool is adult-only as of 1800). Craveiral is certainly not cheap and a lot of effort has gone into design and art, maybe at the expense of some practicalities (e.g. there is little place in the room to put your clothes away) but it is definitely a charming experience.

We loved our stay at Craveiral! The place had such a wonderfull atmosphere, very relaxing and peacefull. The food was really good and healthy, both breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Our kids loved the donkeys and the goats. We all enjoyed the refreshing pool and the bikes. I did a great yoga session. The house we stayed in was clean and well equipped. We had a lovely wooden deck, where we could watch the donkeys in the field. I'm already looking forward to coming back some day!
