Right outside the hotel there is a bus stop and access to the property is convenient (but I drive from Sapporo anyway). The room overall condition met expectation although I am quite disappointed that they only assign me to the second floor, and literally people from outside can see me if I don’t lower the blinds. There are 4 solo onsen rooms available for private use and it is recommended that the usage time stays at 40 mins. For the onsen, the public one is good although it is relatively small, and can be crowded sometimes. Overall, you come to Jozankei because you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and I enjoy my time there. But consider how much I pay for the room and board with virtually no view, there are plenty options out there that could get the most bang from the bucks. Verdict: Nice ambience but not worth for money

The day we arrived, it was snowing heavily, and the scenery was absolutely stunning! I recommend taking the Kappa Bus a bit earlier and arriving before 2 PM. You can drop off your luggage at the hotel and then take a scenic walk to Futami Park, enjoying all the beautiful sights along the way. Grab some shumai for a late-night snack before heading back to check in and enjoy all the hotel's amenities. Haha. When you check in, you can ask the front desk if there are any seats left on the free shuttle bus back to Sapporo Station for the next day or a future date. I asked Ctrip to book it for me, and they quickly replied that there were no seats available, but when we asked in person, we got some! You can also book your breakfast time and a window seat at the same time. The ramen at 10 PM isn't too busy. I suggest going for a private onsen bath on the first floor around 9 PM, then a massage, and after that, the ramen and ice cream hit just right. Overall, this hotel is beautifully designed everywhere 🤩

For its price point, the environment is mainly good for taking photos. The hotel itself isn't very large, just average. There are a lot of Koreans, so if you're just looking to snap some pictures, it's fine. But if you're coming for a relaxing vacation, I'd seriously reconsider. Now, about the service—I've stayed in many hotels at a similar price, and none have given me an experience like this... We arrived around 1 PM, and upon entering, we wanted to ask if we could leave our luggage while we went out for lunch. Before I could even finish my sentence, a male staff member blurted out in English: "Go outside." We were completely stunned, not understanding at all what he wanted. If they didn't want us to wait in the lobby, that's one thing, but to just blurt out something like that with a straight face, without any explanation, I truly don't understand what that staff member was thinking. When we left, it was the same male staff member. We were putting on our shoes by the door, and he took away the shoehorn that was right beside us, as if he didn't see we were about to use it. It was absolutely shocking. The other staff members were also just average, even cold. But after that initial 'thunderclap' of an incident, everything else seemed minor. 🫡 In short, if you don't want to get annoyed, do not come to this hotel. Forget hotels at the same price point; I haven't encountered service like this at any normal hotel.

First off, the front desk staff was very polite. Also, this hotel seems to have a lot of Korean guests, especially couples. Next time, I should bring a guy with me, otherwise, it might be a bit boring at night.

The breakfast view from the window was unbeatable, and the Kappa Bus and bus stop were right outside. However, the dinner and breakfast food was quite ordinary. The beautiful snowy surroundings somewhat compensated for the high room rate. There were a lot of Koreans, and I waited 20 minutes to use the private onsen, but I'd actually recommend the public large bath more. The late-night ramen, served after 10 PM, actually had a queue until 11 PM.

A hot spring hotel perfect for Instagram-worthy photos! The private onsen was great, and the food was better than expected – especially on the second day, which was much tastier than the first. You can only book a window seat for breakfast at 7 AM. They can arrange a taxi to the airport, but unfortunately, the hotel no longer has a special rate, so it's more than double the price now.

This was by far the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my Hokkaido trip. The room style was exactly what I pictured Japan to be, and it was fully equipped. Not only did the room have a private onsen, but there were also four different private hot springs on the first floor. The public onsen was on the -1 floor, and after soaking in the hot springs at night, you could head down to the -1 floor for ice pops and ramen. Besides the typical Jozankei hot springs, there were also various other facilities like a bar, a tea room, and restaurants. Of course, the front desk staff will explain all of this when you check in. The hotel staff's service was exceptional, and you truly felt at ease here. Finally, Jozankei is just stunning; compared to the bustling big cities, I much prefer places like this. A very satisfying stay overall.

Facilities: This is a relatively new Japanese-style hotel. You need to take off your shoes everywhere inside. There are different yukata (Japanese robes) to choose from. Nearby, you'll find Lawson, FamilyMart, and a local Hokkaido convenience store. Service: Someone will help you with your luggage when you get off the bus. For a late-night snack, you can also opt for takeout. Transportation: The transportation is a bit inconvenient. The hotel's free shuttle bus and the Kappa Liner (a specific local bus service) must be booked well in advance – I mean, *really* well in advance – otherwise, you might not get a reservation.
