I stayed on a Saturday night and was warmly welcomed by a sweet petite lady at check-in. I wish I’d asked her name. The building’s exterior looked like something out of Ghibli movie, and the interior felt like a cozy tavern from an anime. The room, toilet, and bath were all very clean. Highly recommended for budget travelers who value cleanliness and comfort. I wish I’d had time to try a meal at their restaurant. It looked inviting..

Had an excellent stay here! The room was clean and tidy, with great lighting and sound insulation. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. The hotel is conveniently located with everything you need nearby. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Facilities are well-maintained, and overall value for money is amazing. Will definitely come back and highly recommend to others.

The atmosphere is great, like a mountain lodge.
The room is on the second floor, while the shower, washbasin, common area, and kitchen are on the first floor. It's fully equipped with a microwave and refrigerator.
The downside is that the bar and restaurant on the first floor are open from evening until late at night. The common area and guest kitchen are a bit too close to the bar patrons.
It's a bit awkward having to climb the open staircase to the second floor directly above the heads of the bar customers.

The front desk service was excellent. There's also a direct bus to Chitose Airport not far away.

Nice and cosy hostel in convenient location, not too far from Nijo market and Susukino. There were convenient stores and coin laundry nearby as well. Bed was snuggly and comfortable although it was a shared room. Having bar downstairs was both a benefit and drawback. It was convenient to get food & drink after a long day travelling and you don't want to leave for anywhere else, and their bar has great selection of drinks. However, the sound from the bar can be loud so earplugs is highly recommended to ensure a good night sleep. The bar area is also a smoking zone as well so even though the dorm is strictly non-smoking, the smell might still bother you if you're sensitive. Overall I think it's a not bad value for what you pay for, and great if you want a bit more lively hostel rather than quiet place.

The bunk bed is clean and the bedding is comfortable.
Staff are friendly
However, it's a bit noisy as the bar downstairs was busy. Probably it was because of Saturday night.
Other than that, overall is good

I recently stayed at this hostel and the hostel is clean and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-maintained, and the beds are cozy. However, the toilet bidet wasn’t working, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the shower room is located on the first floor, the same floor as the bar. This setup was not ideal as it required going downstairs to shower. One of the biggest issues was the noise from the bar on the first floor. The bar stays open until midnight, and the loud music and chatter made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Magazines on the wall describe the owner as a member of the Antarctic Expedition, who visited Antarctica 53 times. After retiring, he opened this small hotel, hoping to attract more mountaineering enthusiasts to gather and chat about their experiences. The hotel's reception is connected to the bar, and every night, there's a crowd of people drinking, some of them mountaineering enthusiasts. There's also a wide selection of dishes. I took a photo of the first floor of the hotel to share. The room I stayed in was quite interesting, located in another building, so it didn't interfere with my rest. My room was small (I don't know if there are larger rooms, but I think there are some shared rooms, like youth hostel-style bunk beds). There were only two beds, nothing special, but the sheets and towels were spotlessly white and spotlessly clean. There's also a shared kitchen on the first floor near the bar, equipped with a microwave, hot water, and a washing machine. Staying in the hotel and traveling during the day is a good option. A short walk down the street leads to a crossroads filled with restaurants. What's even more interesting is that the waiters are all foreigners. I saw four or five of them, representing at least three nationalities. Two were young beauties, and two were handsome foreigners.

The location is close to Susukino, but it's far from the restaurants I wanted to go to, only close to Nijo Market. I deliberately changed my accommodation because it had the highest rating on Google, but I was completely disappointed. It's a cafe/hostel in an old, run-down wooden building. The hallways are narrow, and the stairs make it difficult to move luggage. Towels are rented, so they don't have any basic amenities. Footsteps are noisy because of the old wood. The beds are just mattresses on the floor, and they're worn and worn out. The blankets are old, and the covers aren't secured, so they easily fall off. The sheets are clean. The air conditioner is really loud.
They smoke everywhere, wondering if they can smoke anywhere. There wasn't a strong lingering smell, but I think it's because the air conditioners are running full blast. That's why it's so noisy. Earplugs are essential.
