Nice and cosy hostel in convenient location, not too far from Nijo market and Susukino. There were convenient stores and coin laundry nearby as well. Bed was snuggly and comfortable although it was a shared room. Having bar downstairs was both a benefit and drawback. It was convenient to get food & drink after a long day travelling and you don't want to leave for anywhere else, and their bar has great selection of drinks. However, the sound from the bar can be loud so earplugs is highly recommended to ensure a good night sleep. The bar area is also a smoking zone as well so even though the dorm is strictly non-smoking, the smell might still bother you if you're sensitive. Overall I think it's a not bad value for what you pay for, and great if you want a bit more lively hostel rather than quiet place.

Friendly staff. this place is walking distance with bus to airport (Tsubaki premier hotel) which is easier for us to take 1st bus at 5.20am.

Travelling solo hasnt been the easiest but the warmth from SapporoLodge has been much appreciated! The staff has been very nice, guest has been a mix of interesting parties and its a great place to meet people. location is relatively near to convenience. cleanliness is acceptable.

I recently stayed at this hostel and the hostel is clean and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-maintained, and the beds are cozy.However, the toilet bidet wasn’t working, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the shower room is located on the first floor, the same floor as the bar. This setup was not ideal as it required going downstairs to shower. One of the biggest issues was the noise from the bar on the first floor. The bar stays open until midnight, and the loud music and chatter made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

A very atmospheric hotel with a bar downstairs where you can relax and chat with other strangers. The staff are also very friendly! You can communicate with confidence in English.

The atmosphere is good, and you can communicate enthusiastically with friends traveling together. The boss's service is also very good, and the decoration is very stylish and distinctive. You can eat on the first floor...

Near Tanukikoji shopping district and seafood market

It was hard to go up and down the stairs. I wish the toilets were on the floors where you sleep. In the shared dining area, there were young men and women chatting away, so I felt uncomfortable going in to have a coffee. It seemed more geared towards young people.

The location is near the center of Sapporo, actually not difficult to find, but the bed and breakfast is too small to look very carefully to see, the door number is not clear, in addition, the noise at night is too severe, the bar's voices and music make you not feel good Sleep

For the first time staying at a hostel, the staff are taking good care of. Downstairs is a liquor store, delicious taste, affordable price when drinking alcohol or having finished eating. able to go to sleep I made many new friends from this place. And can walk to the bus easily. Walk to susukino or odori comfortably.

I spent my 36th birthday at the SoppoLodge. Beds were beyond what you might expect for the price - ie very well-cleaned and maintained. The location was walkable from the train station. Travelers were all quite friendly and the staff were truly wonderful! They treated me like family for an evening and I didn't feel alone. They gave me great recommendations on what to do around town. Having a bar and kitchen built-in was so convenient for snacking/drinking and meeting people other travelers. The food was very tasty! I would definitely stay again next time I'm solo traveling in Sapporo! Special thanks to Yuta/Utah/優太 for his hospitality (apologies if I misspelled your name as I should have written it down)!

I totally enjoyed my stay here, the hostel seems to be quite new, everything is clean and in a very good condition. The atmosphere is super nice and relaxed, as the ground floor is also a bar/restaurant. It is also only a few minutes away by foot from the Susukino district.
