Brentwood Hotel

Terrible experience We were left stranded on the day of a wedding because although this establishment is contactless and doesn’t have a “front desk” nothing was communicated to us giving instructions to our reserved room. We were left to change into wedding attire in a local Starbucks bathroom because no one associated with this establishment would answer a call, email or text.

No staff on premises is fine if there’s no problem but if there is, out of luck. Contact number mailbox full and text with our issue unanswered four hours later. Let’s see if we ever get a response.

Location was fantastic! Easy walk to race course, can watch warm ups across the street. Bed was pretty comfortable. Rooms are very small, which is disclosed in listing. Restaurant across the street has good food and live entertainment in their outdoor tent which would not be good for people who want to go to bed early, stops at 11:00 PM. A/C is quite noisy so did wake us up a lot. Did enjoy the horses coming up the street from stables early morning.

Sometimes you get a pleasant surprise when you check into a hotel in a place that is new to you. This little hotel was fantastic! We had a nice stay and dinner at the restaurant across the street. But this place is so close to the horse track, you can watch the horses work out.

Unmanned motel This is an unmanned motel, and it’s not possible to call for support. Everything was closed when we arrived at 7pm including the bar and reception. Had trouble accessing our rooms and so had other guests, no one is picking up the phone, took us an hour to get access, not a good experience.

Kay's review - 3rd trip here I love this hotel - the beds are super comfy and although the room is very basic, and a tad small - it has almost everything a person needs for an overnight. It is an INCREDIBLE value - my biggest complaint is that the hotel bar is closed indefinitely - it is such a sweet space, and offered incredible craft cocktails prior to the pandemic. Still a special place and a really good tavern for dinner and drinks just up the street from Thurs - Sun. Anyways, you do need a car here. Super close to Nat'l Racing Hall of Fame and Saratoga Racetrack. Despite there being no one on site and the bar being closed, this place will always be special

It was unclear that the bar was no longer open. There was no actual staff at the property. There was no coffee in the room.

We liked being across from the Horseshoe bar and grill. We could have some drinks and walk across the street to our room.

I was a little disappointed with my stay at the Brentwood. I travel often for work so I was really excited to stay outside of a Hilton or chain property and it was my first time in Saratoga Springs! The location was amazing, right next to the race track only a 5 minute drive to downtown. However the conditions were a little disappointing. The property looked overrun, the restaurant/bar was not open, and there was a decent amount of dust in the rooms. It seemed like the property just needs a little extra TLC. The owners were pretty responsive though, I had gotten the wrong check in code and they were quick to respond back. However after I checked out I never received a receipt and when I reached out they sent me the receipt for a different stay. Overall, I’m just disappointed, I really wanted to love my stay but I will not be staying at the Brentwood again.
