Reviews of Hotel Rainforest

The rooms were really untidy, and the bathrooms had an unpleasant smell. The staff weren't very helpful, and the prices were way too high for what we got. Plus, there was no breakfast included, and the hotel really needs a good cleaning and some repairs.

I stayed at Hotel Rainforest for two nights during my visit to Chitwan National Park. I give this hotel 4-stars because of the following criteria: The staff are very friendly and helpful. I give the staff and customer service 5-stars. The room I stayed in was definitely in need of a facelift: it looked and felt way past its prime. Also, although the bathroom window had a screen, it didn’t have a window 🤷🏻‍♂️ … I was told by the staff that this is the same in every bathroom, otherwise I would have asked to change rooms. I need to give the room I stayed in a 2.5-star. The food was good and was very reasonably priced considering the large portions they served. I give the hotel food a 4-star. The average of these first three categories is 3.83 but the reason I can give Hotel Rainforest a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is because of front desk staff NIKITA who in my opinion is the most pleasant, cheerful m, friendly, kind, and helpful front desk hotel employee that I’ve met. It’s because of NIKITA that I give this hotel the 4-star rating! If the owner is reading this, please give this woman a significant raise!

Lovely and kind staffs, friendly owner, comfortable room and beautiful garden space. I am here only for 2 nights, they have given me the best experience of Chitwan so far. I will be back again with my husband and friends to share my experience one more time. Thank you all for giving me forever memories in your place 🥰

We had a great stay in the hotel, including a full jungle package (jungle walk, canoeing, jeep tour). On which our guide Raj was really passionate about the jungle and the animals. The hotel was clean and the AC was working well (which was needed since it was 35 degrees). The best part of the hotel might be the kitchen and its staff. This was a great experience! Great hotel, lovely staff. I would definitely recommend to do a walking jungle safari with Ashok, the jungle guide from the hotel, so exciting!! 🦏 That was an absolute highlight of our trip to Nepal!

I would give this hotel and its associated experiences a 3.5. The rooms themselves are ok with decent bathrooms. The gardens are beautiful, The staff are extremely nice! Especially the kitchen staff are amazing!! they take a bit of time to get your food ready so it was wise to order meals before hand. My negative was with the associated experiences - I understand that a group program (sharing with others) always comes with trade-offs but we were treated unfairly by the nature guide in our jungle walk, canoeing and visit to EBC program. The jungle was so beautiful and we wanted to take all of it in. However, the walk itself was rushed and much to my dismay the guide deserted us in parts of the trail to solely cater to the other party in our group. Subsequently, I ended up renting an entire jeep (costs less than $200) for the jungle safari and the guide was dedicated. We saw over 13 rhinos and realized the same guide was extremely knowledgeable and pretty good at animal spotting. I would give the jungle safari alone a 5/5. Overall, it was a mixed experience - I would definitely recommend taking private tours if you can afford it, this hotel’s nature guide is not adept at managing multiple parties for group experiences.

We had a very pleasant stay here at the rainforest hotel. It comfortable and clean, the rooms are basic but that was fine, the grounds are nice and the staff are really friendly and lively to talk to. You are in the jungle so I knew there could be some bugs, one big one I had ti get rid off, I think it's was because the bathroom door was open which attracts them. Remember to keep your wet room door closed!

Amazing experience at this hotel doing a two night safari package! The hotel itself is lovely and more than we expected - the grounds are lovely and there is a pool to cool off in the heat! The restaurant serves delicious food which is included in the safari package if you book - I could recommend the Indian curry selection and the paneer butter masala with homemade roti!! Finally, the tour itself was amazing all due to the beauty of the national park but also our amazing and knowledgeable guide raj. Really affordable, one of our best experiences in Nepal, would recommend to everyone!!

We had the most fantastic time exploring the Chitwan National park. The hotel arranged a fantastic guide, Raj who’s knowledge of the park and it’s offerings made the experience truly memorable. The hotel was also beautiful with comfortable rooms and kind, helpful staff. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
